Indian team for S Africa tests
by vathula on Jan 27, 2010 08:05 AM

Sehwag
Gambhir
Badrinath
Tendulkar
Pujara
Raina
Dhoni
Amit Mishra
Zaheer Khan
R.Ashwin
I. Sharma

Murali Vijay should play only when a opener gets injured. On current form, Ashwin is better than Harbhajan Singh;
Mishra is better than Ojha.
Yuvraj should be permanenetly dropped; prefer Raina to Kohli. Badri replaces Dravid; Pujara replaces Laxman.

Well done Tamim
by Balaji Venkataraman on Jan 27, 2010 01:11 AM  | Hide replies

Well done Tamim. It is great to see some inspiring batting. No matter what this test will be part of Banglas folk fare.Especially for the short pitch bowling and Tamim. The first session tomorrow is going to determine the course of the match. Bangladesh needs to take it easy and play for the whole day. If not at the end of the day the score card will read Innings defeat.

India can lose...........now have 4 batsman only
by dinesh jain on Jan 26, 2010 10:37 PM  | Hide replies

India is lucky to get wickets of Tamim and Javed at the end. India could still lose the game if Bangladesh is able to get a lead more than 100 . See We are two or may be three batsman down. While we have now only 4 batsman 4 bowlers(no body of them can really bat) So if we loose our opening pair cheaply, Bangladesh can pull out the game from nowhere. I wish sachin is fine and he is the only difference between the win and loss for India. If I am Bangladesh Captain I would now tell my batsman, "The game is ours. Score as many as possible at rapid race with minimum risk. Get150 lead and we are done. Ball to the stumps and we will surely win."

Indian victory is a foregone conclusion. There is no way Bangladesh can save this match, especially with two days remaining a decision is inevitable. Indian victory is a certainty.

WEAK INDIAN BOWLING
by Raghavan on Jan 26, 2010 10:07 PM  | Hide replies

INdian bowling is weak, without any doubt. They are surviving due to a set of good batsmen. But, for how long??

Now Gambhir should some how score the century he missed inte first innings and equal Bradman's reord. It is a rare chance and he should do it

whatever one wants to call our bowling attack the fact remains that it is not batsmen who win test matches. Even if bowlers do not perform well in ODIs, matches can be won with good batsmen. But in test matches whether the batsmen perform well or not, unless and until you take 20 wickets of the opposition you can not win the match. In the past 2 years out of 21 test matches india has won 10 lost 4 and drawn 7. And the wins (almost 50% of the total matches) have come because of our bowlers have taken all the opposition wickets.

Dhoni is right to use 3 specialist bowlers. Indian victory is a foregone conclusion against the lowest rated team.

Indian bowling stinks
by M Alem on Jan 26, 2010 10:03 PM  | Hide replies

If a Bangla school boy can whip Indian bowlers than we better watch out for SA top order. Our number one rating could be at stake.
Whitewash of BD monkeys is a foregone conclusion. Hopefully it was a good warm up for the main event with SA.

BD monkeys -strange comment indeed! considering the Great wall of india was downed enroute to ICU of hospital and Tamim played Indian bowlers like Mumbai dharavi chidren's bowling.
