People like yourself make me so mad. your 'type' is the reason that team India hasnt had consistency in the past before DHONI came along. if you pick someone stick with them give them time not start BARKING at every oppurtunity you get!

murali. you are right, but dravid is one of the best players of the short ball in india. yesterday the ball didnt bounce as high as he expected. thats why he was injured.

Being defensive or aggressive does not make any difference to getting injured. A misjudgment can happen fro anyone at any age. That the ball can hit even the most technically correct batsman means anyone can get hit.

Curses from crows like you cannot harm Tendulkar!

old players who are team selector now are protecting and giving more chance to old players in the team. fact they are ignoring young talent. this trend will continue. after few years, one of these old will become selector and they favour old player and ignore young.

Age has nothing to do bro...as long as you are performing superbly...As most of the Australians players debut in their late 20'or early 30's. Its all about your fitness, attitude towards the team and your consistency, thats all that matter..understood

i am sure we might have found new player if we give chance in this series. that might help new player to get some confidence. raina played awesome in NZ on fast track, and yet to play for test. why dont we try something different.

remember, rahul also start his career as new comer and he is so luck to get so many chance for one day matches before he got to play over 300 matches. likewise he should respect new player as well.

why is that selector give player chance to play test after successful in one day? why not otherway.. by logic, those who play well in test should be good in one day as well and why do we need separate one team. in my opinion it should be other way or mixed. test helps player to gain confident and practice, intern help to play any sort of game. young players are not start their career with oneday, they also play heap of first class test. why do we brand raina, rohit, virat is for oneday. why dont we give chance?

Well to a certain extent I would say, yes, we need to give new players a chance. Dravid and Tendulkar have been excellent no doubt about it. But they are not going to continue too long. We don't want to be in a state of crisis when two very senior players are suddenly not playing anymore. This is the time to groom new talent.

Dhoni playing politics with bowling.
by Jagdish Reddy on Jan 26, 2010 02:02 AM  | Hide replies

I sincerely think that there is a split between these two.
For example, whenever Dhoni captains, he is not giving bowling to Shewag but prefers Yuvraj. Example, the current 2nd test.
But when Shewag captains, he is not giving bowling to Yuvraj. Example, 1st test.
Any comments. I observed this before in other test matches and also one day internationals.

Hope Rahul is fit by the time we play our second test vs SA. Even if he plays for one test, it will be wonderful. Without Rahul, our lineup looks shaky. We have to definitely rope in Badrinath and give him the chance atleast this time. Sack that damn Yuvraj out, and give Badrinath and Vijay the run in the test team. Vijay batted well today and Badri is a run machine in domestic cricket.
