last 5 years, there were over 12-15 one day matches played in gujarath and 4-5 test matches. i am sure someone from BCC lobbying heavily for their state which is totally unfair. why media and other cricket fans are quite on this issue?

It's time for S.Badrinath to fill the shoes
by gnana sekar on Jan 26, 2010 08:09 AM

I don't think so whether Dravid could be alright in time of SA series.... I urge the selectors to include Badrinath.Vijay is an opening batsman, don't force that guy to play in middle order. Badrinath has already proven his worth in middle order....

Bowling
by Medulla Oblangta on Jan 26, 2010 03:18 AM

Main area of concern is still bowling. Ishant's decent performance against Bangladesh can not make the point that he has returned back in form. Bhajji could not even do better against Bangladesh except taking the tenth wicket. Zaheer, Amit Mishra and Ojha would surely be with the crew. Sreesanth's fitness is grey area and so his form. He did not do any wonder after his comeback test against Sri Lanka. Its high time when selectors should start looking into domestic performers like Vinay Kumar, Mithun, Iqbal Abdullah etc.
Batting would be surely affected with the absence of Dravid but I think Vijay is ready to fit into those shoes. Chateshwar Pujara and Manish Pandey are the guys who could tried at number 6 in place of repeatedly failing Yuvraj.

CHANCES FOR RANJI TROPY STARS
by Ananthanarayana Nonavinakere on Jan 25, 2010 05:51 PM  | Hide replies

Will the selection committe have the guts to give a chance to star players of the current Ranji trophy series like Kulkarni, Manish Pandey, Abhinav Mithun and Vinay Kumar. Else, there is no meaning in having a Ranji tropy. Why is K.Srikanth partial to Dinesh Karthik when neither his keeping nor batting is good enough.
