Counting one's chickens before they're hatched could prove to be mighty disappointing. Many a Goliath have been slayed by tiny Davids who've been written-off as losers.

BABUA FATRIES > WHY ARE WE DRAGGING ON politician dhogi?
by E darwin on Jan 24, 2010 07:53 AM

INDIA HAS LOST BOTH THE LAST WORLD 1 DAY AND WORLD T20. SO WHY YOU CALL dhogi THIS COOL SHYTE AND COOL HYPE. Icc stats are a fix.

Babua are pumping news for DHONI via PTI, etc

Here is the news
"
Bolstered by the return of charismatic captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni
"

to confuse selectors they are adding the name of Harbhajan Singh with Dhogi,

These cunning Babuas are rabid thinkers.

before they used to group Bengal with Bihar. when bengal consider babuas as stink.

Now Babua try to group UP with Bihar ...

which again stink...

Keep dhogi out and that is good for india.

Look at the difference between Dhoni and Sehwag. See Dhoni's comments (cricinfo)about Bangladesh and you can see he is captain material regardless of any faults. His words wont antagonize anyone and yet he speaks the truth. Each one of us including him have the responsibility to work for India as diplomat or soldier or whatever. Dhoni has India's interests in mind and did not make our relations with B'desh worse by speaking like Sehwag did.

Regardless of this politics which applies in evry word and deed and the banter that goes from Australia down to Afganisthan, I liked the way Sehwag set the field for 2nd innings. That is a true master piece and itellectual.

Friend - I disagree with your assessment. India is not on a peace mission to Bangladesh.

Sports is competitive. Sewag's opinion is a valid one. Bangaldesh has been beaten in 85% of its test matches. This is not a test team with much to say!

Sewag expressed an honest assessment. If you cant take it, that is fine. As sports lovers, we like it.

Ofcourse, a team that lost 53, drew 6 and won only 3 test matches out of a total of 62 is ordinary. Sehwag did not say Bangla is the weakest test playing country. Why blame poor Veeru for being candid. India did beat Bangla in the first test in less than 4 days despite its poor batting in the first innings. Why blame poor Veeru for being candid?

End of the road for Rahul
by M Alem on Jan 24, 2010 12:46 AM  | Hide replies

If Rahul Dravid does not have a big game in Mirpur, it could be fatal to his career. If he fials in South Africa series, a great and distinguished career will come to an end. It really hurts to think that a meaningless test series in Bangladesh may bring the demise of the great wall.

Your comment is like offering condolences even before the person's death.

You are assuming that Dravid would fail in the second test, fail in the SA series and the selectors axe Dravid.

What an imagination, you could write a script for a tragic movie. Did ya eva think about it?

Bangladesh does not belong in the same league
by M Alem on Jan 24, 2010 12:41 AM

India is number one in all forms of cricket -- test, ODI and T-20. Bangladesh is not even qualified to play a test, period. Any third grade team could have saved the last test. India should not play these guys in next ten years. BD should play only Zimbabwe, Kenya, Netherlands, Bermuda, Afghanistan and Ireland.

favouritism in Indian cricket
by gaurav manchanda on Jan 23, 2010 11:28 PM  | Hide replies

there is something wrong between sehwag and dhoni. both are picking their favorite players in the playing eleven. this favoritism is not good for indian cricket. look at some controversial decisions made by sehwag as captain:

SEHWAG included ishant sharma in the playing 11 for the 3rd and 4th ODI against sri lanka. In 3rd ODI, sehwag picked ishant ahead of praveen kumar (who was india's most economical fast bowler in the first 2 ODIs). in that ODI, ishant bowled with an economy rate of around 10, but sehwag picked him again for the 4th ODI in which he again bowled with an economy rate of 9.

sehwag picked mishra for the 1st test match against bangladesh ahead of ojha who bowled very well in the previous test match he played against sri lanka. although mishra perform well in 1st test against bangladesh but no1 can justify the reason behind preferring ishant & mishra over ojha b4 the start of 1st test match

now look at dhoni decisions:

Dhoni picked ojha replacing mishra for 2nd test match against sri lanka just because of mishra's one bad performance in previous test match which was played on batsmen friendly pitch. on that pich, even a bowler like murali failed to spin the ball

for the 2nd test match against bangladesh, dhoni has included ojha in place of mishra. how can u drop a bowler who has taken 7 wickets in the previous test match for a player who has played only 2 test matches. except dhoni, no one can explain the reason for including ojha ahead of amit mishra.

hmm good point ... never noticed this pattern .. maybe you are correct ... and if true this hints at a discord between dhoni and sehwag which is not good for team india.
