kotla has become the national shame for cricket...instead they should transfer all the matches to either mohali or jaipur..

Someone said the right thing > appreciable bounce from the wic
by E darwin on Jan 22, 2010 07:25 AM  | Hide replies

"Both Ishant and Zaheer were quick and got appreciable bounce from the wicket"

this is what the wicket was doing in Bangladesh first test,

A good bowlers wicket is good attempt at Kotla that neither Lanka, neither BCCI, neither ICC like.

Kotla is not that bad at all. they can make it more bouncy and quick.

There is a major difference between "getting appreciable bounce" and "getting uneven bounce"...

Why Always Delhi to play all matches
by Pathan on Jan 22, 2010 05:01 AM

Why Always Delhi to play all matches
No matter whether it is capital city or any city the strict rules will teach the stupid DCCI and BCCI not to amke such a pitch, which wasted our time going to the Kotla stadium.

Kick them all ! All selectors in the BCCI are from Delhi, so they will cry till the end !

This is Nonsense
by Praveen Goud on Jan 22, 2010 03:16 AM

Only the curator and organisers who didn't follow the ICC rules for laying pitch are responsible. Banning the match at kotla is nonsense as it effects the business and entertainement of live spectators. ICC , better have a neutral team to lay pitch favouring both bowlers and batsmen ...

DON'T INVITE SRILANKANS TO INDIA.........
by NIKHIL NATHAN on Jan 22, 2010 12:23 AM  | Hide replies

Cry-Babies,Cowards lankans should never be invited to play in India after this national humiliation. It was only the Petty Srilankan attitude of using the Wicket as an excuse to avoid defeat resulted in such a huge shame for the country. If the pitch was fit to be play for 20 overs and fit enough when Jayasuriya smahed 5 boundries in his innings that itself shows the CryBaby nature of lankans. They understood that their ass was going to be cooked in the Final One-Day and just used this lame excuse to chicken out of the match.
Srilankan Chickens should not be entertained here anymore.

Man please... we all know how ridiculous the Kotla pitch was. I am happy with the ICC's decision and welcome it. It should provide a friendly warning to the DDCA for not preparing mediocre surfaces in future games.

Mr.Bruno for your kind information even Newzealand skipper at that time Stephen Fleming came down heavily on the quality of pitches at that time, So what are u smoking.I think u really want to defend Srilankans who are the masters of Double game it was they who started this negative bowling(Bowling at the legs of the batsman and keeping 8 players there) so please lets not go in to Srilankan character. The world record holder from their nation Muralidharan is also a known chuckr playing only because of pressure from Asian Block.LOL.

rational judgement
by sandeep singh on Jan 21, 2010 11:23 PM

This is definitely an appreciable and rational decision which should be welcomed by all of us, and should go a long way in inculcating a sense of ACCOUNTABILITY in our cricket administrators. We, the ordinary people, should direct our anger to our cricket officials and create pressure to induce a sense of accountability in them.
