IPL unfair to players of Baluchistan
by Anew Post on Jan 22, 2010 11:03 AM

IPL was unfair with players of Baluchistan and treated them same as Pakistani players. you all should acknowledge Baluchistan as separate country.

What kind of spine India showed to cricketers? By snubbing cricketers? What have they got to do with the Mumbai attacks or any other terrorist activity? Why you taking personal stress on asking Pakistani people to lay off India as if they are personally responsible for the attacks on India from Pakistani soil. If Shiv Sena or MNS attack the North Indians in Mumbai, do you think you can hold the entire Mumbai population responsible for that?

Second question :

India would have not played Pakistan anywhere. Why did they still play the 20-20 world cup match against them? Why do they play each other in hockey tournaments then? Have same shame!

Third question: Would you let australians play on your ground and WTF Indians are doing in Australia?? They should beat up every aussie and leave the Australia for good. have some double shame !

Dare to come to our websites anew post and check yourself that commenst by pakistanis are as pathetic as by Indians.
Heck I am glad to see indians lowering themselve to gutters, otherwise for almost 7 years indians werew trying hard to act like civilized country. Now it is open that by copying usa shows, movies and sport leagues a third world country can not become a first world country.

pakistan acts Holier-than-thou
by wizardo id on Jan 22, 2010 07:19 AM

ha! pakistan is acting as if they just descended from the heavens. they clearly are uncomfortable at being shown the door, someone who has asserted after years of taking all the abuse calmly. serves them right. isnt it so simple ? if pak wants to ban the hindi flicks - let them - their people suffer, not ours!

that ways we can deal a blow to dawood! afterall its his money that runs i nthe vein of bollywood!

PCB miffed at snub- demands answer from Modi
by Bodh Ramdeo on Jan 21, 2010 09:42 PM

The IPL is a private organization comprised of 'for-profit' teams, and paying huge prices for players during auction is a huge investment.
It's only natural for team owners to weigh the risks associated with their investments and for them, the risk of taking-on Pak players at this time may have seemed too high for their liking??

no IPL takers for pakis
by causarhina on Jan 21, 2010 08:46 PM  | Hide replies

Well, no team would want to have players they cant play with in various states who have political parties that threaten to disrupt the games if there were Paki or Australian players! Its just good judgement to avoid trouble... and pay for it too! A sad state of affairs, but one must accept the facts!

Dis Indian Govt use the Income tax dept to pressurise BCCI
by arvind singh on Jan 21, 2010 08:20 PM

If you remember, only a few days ago the Income tax guys raised a lot of issues with BCCI status as a charity and slapped heavy fines in the range of 150 crores. Then suddenly no news regarding this tax issue after that and then this IPL snub towards pakistan players. Can anyone smell something fishy in this? Can anyone see the hands of the Indian government in this? Who controls the IT department (Central Govt). Why was this issue raised at this particular time when the end of financial year is still almost 3 months away and IT return filing is done around June/July.

Next action should be to stop participation of porki team in 50 over world cup in 2011. I guess BCCI has balls to do that.

Everything said and done. The incidents of 26/11 are very fresh in minds of Indian people. How can be a normal person be so insensitive to the happenings which has killed 100s and maimed many more. Though we can not blame the cricketers at all but similarly how do we justify the innocent people who died for no reasons. It was a massacre by terrorists who were from pakistan. I believe we Indians still give some kind of respect to human values compared to our counterparts on the other side where in the name of jannat and Jihad people wear suicide belts and kill their own brethren and others after a thorough brain washing by their masters.
I really feel bad for the pakistani players, most of the players are world class and very much like them to play in India. But I have to suppress the feeling of excitement in the larger interests and the sensibilities of the affected people due to the carnage.
It will take little more time for the atmosphere to change and the confidence to build again and there are lot of efforts to be undertaken by both the Governments to achieve that situation. Till then i do not think the feel good factor alone will work.
Long live India Pakistan cricket relationship
