Hi Looks like some habits never change some people are just interested in hurting others looking for something that is not there ,it is loud clear Ponting himself ,his manager,KKR team have all said the same it is very simple to understand and go on with life as simple as that . Why are people so negative and why is Pakistan players issue discussed here it is not relavent here .Now I know why India makes one step and it is pulled four steps back ,it is all in the brain how we think ... Please leave the gentleman game as a gentleman's game no need to stretch it in any direction .Enjoy the game ,whoever palys wherever they play should be the motto for true sports fans. hi Ravi Shankar on what basis are you saying he is flop he has won 5 tests against (3 against Pakistan two against West Indies) also has a double century that was crucial in last test victory against pakistan. Also what do you mean attitude problem I think Aussies say they play hard cricket and that is what they have done this summer or any summer I myself have watched the test at SCG I must tell you they come back from a position of disadvantage to a position of strength and won square and fair the sydney test. Looks like you want to create unnecessary trouble and moreover please do not post negative comments here if you have a positive point express it ,you need to respect yourself first ,then others and behave . Never ever spoil the spirit of sport.Sport is there to be enjoyed wherever play wherever they play .

he scored in an inconsequential 3rd match of the test. Also, he was a big flop in 20-20 as per his records. Hence Mr.Ravi is absolutely correct in his statement. The guy is with his inflated ego and racist to the core(as all the Aussies are found now)

Probably you are not able digest his success. He has shown his true commitment to his team. He clearly says that he is focussing on Ashes and World cup 2011. He is right.
IPL is just a comercial extravaganza and it has spoiled Team India. This is the reason Team India has not won any tournament since T20 WC. They have been first round crashers like Sania Mirza.
Contrary to this Australia has won every major tournament in the last 6 years. This is because of the professional commitment of Ponting, their captain.

KKR's player selection is disgusting. Shane bond fro $750000. He will be a flop like Ricky ponting, Soaib akhtar, Ishant sharma. All 3 seasons, their foreign player selection has been bad. who are the brains behind it.
When it said KR bought out Ponting's contract? What does it mean? Does it mean KKR paid the contract money to Ponting and does not force him to play? Or Did KKR pay the bid amount to IPL?
Re: what's buy-out?

It was a 3 year contract for a particular amount o money but before completion of 3 years, KKR paid the particular amount to Ponting and ended the contract. DD also bought out McGrath's contract and MI did the same with Ashraful. Such buy outs happen in Football clubs also.

it would not be full $400,000, instead it would have been something less than [base amount 4 * per match pro-rata amount], which ponting would have got this year if he had come for those 4 matches for which he ws available.

BCCI should give adequate compensation to the Pakistani Cricketers who have not been selected. They have every right to demand a huge compensation for their humiliation.

For what????? many players were not sold. BCCI let them come and sit in the shop to be sold. But there were no buyers.
If a product is not sellable then why would the shopkeeper pay. Rather the product manufacturer (Pakistan)should pay BCCI for sending defective products to be sold.

Why should the BCCI, there were 66 players up for selection , does others left out asking for compensation. Pakistanis should accept it is free market and stop being crybabies.

Pakistani players deserve only humiliation. they want money to be earn frm India and in return want to spread terrorism in india. I think they should not be allowed even in auction.

You must be brother of Javed Miandad, so I understand your pea brain. The teams are owned by private individuals and corporates and not by BCCI. If they think that the player is not fit for their team, they will not select them, because it is their money they are spending(Anyway most of the Pakistani players are not team players). So even if IPL had included them in the bidding, the teams decide whom to include. Also "Beggars cant be choosers"
