Dhoni's not goot at grooming players. Ganguly's the best in that. To accommodate Sehwag,Ganguly brought himself down the order but Dhoni promotes himself at 1st down against weak opponents and small scores. He puts himself down when it comes to moving and stronger teams. Selfish!!!
It seems like Karthik effectively cannot overcome Dhoni's loss and a better batting WK is Parthiv Patel.
It may be time for the selectors to also look at how long Laxman can carry on. There are possible middle order heavyweights in the domestic scene with great fielding skills. So for Yuvraj and Laxman the too possiblities are:
With a combination of age, sample size and fielding skills Rahane is the top contender for Yuvraj and Laxman, the next contender is Pujara. It is important for the selectors to not mix ODI with Tests and Manish Pandey is not suitable yet because of the sample size. I think we need to start the process with Yuvraj and Laxman.

agreed. karthik was dropped in lanka tour but still got chance as second keeper thnx to srikanth. parthiv is much better than him. its also high time to groom new youngsters like pujara, pandey, rahane.
start by sacking yuv from test team. n lazy laxman needs to b rested permanently.

I disagree about Manish Pandey. We want to wait till he has had several domestic FC seasons before you can take him. Rahane has an average of 64 and Pujara 56. Tha main reason we are not consistent is because we take players like Rohit Sharma too early based on looks and realize he is not at that level yet. taking players based on appearance and looks tends to be too biased and political. When a player has proven record in FC for a long period his average is more accurate and not dependent on luck.

Lucky B:
The first point is excellent. Biggest example is himself. :)
As to the second point, I don't think we need him to operate as the CEO every single time. There are other contenders too to play the role of Chief Excuse Officer, if given enough chances... :)

Mr. Pseudos, what more should Dhoni do so that narrow minded people like U should consider him hero. Leave the game permanently, O.K then U come and lead the team... big Zero...

Yeah, it is gud to back him in the team cos he rescues the team from any situation, if Dhoni was in the playing XI, tendulkar wouldn't had enough problem of scoring runs..
