It isn't your cheating calls but his chewing gum and mannerisms on the field which is up for analysis.
You may call doubtful catches and umpiring horrors as cheating, but then which team doesn't? If you care to sample Dhoni's "cheating" (coz that's the only word you have coined for such behaviour), then go to Youtube and search for a video "The Spirit of India"... Will make for some interesting viewing. :)
Firstly, it is heartening to note that Cricket Australia is keen on improving the Aussie Cricket Image. This is a good starting point. Players need to show grace, especially when the team is under pressure. The Aussie team is watched by youngsters from Australia and people who want to learn the art of winning, sportsmanship and exhibition of cricketing skills of the highest order. Very recently against West Indies, the Australian cricket team did not show the above characters. Couple of players like Shane Watson did not carry forward the philosophy of Cricket Australia. If CA is serious about its image, then such people should be reprimanded. Ricky Ponting should take a leave out of Sachin Tendulkars on-field behaviour and imbibe the value system of the little master in their team. Near home there are several players who had the same value system. Persons quickly coming to my mind are Mark Taylor and Steven Waugh.

Hmmmm.... didn't really understand your point. But I guess we will take about 20 more years before we get over the fact that we lost the Sydney test which we should have easily drawn despite some bad umpiring.... :)
As long as team wins who cares for image. We have our Indian cricket team which shows attitude in cricket field by dropping catches of opposition. Laugh when they r loosing. What do we call it to this then?
