INDIAN CRICKET TEAM IS OVERHYPED
by Arvind KS on Jan 16, 2010 11:51 AM  | Hide replies

When you see the conssumate ease with which Aussies just score 450-500 and declare and win test matches against good teams (SA, Pak, NZ etc), you tend to feel rattled about this OVERHYPED indian cricket team, who always have reasons to be in-consistent.

If while loosing to a third string Aussies, they say, their bowlers could not do the job;
in loosing to Srilanak, they say their batters could not do the job.

No such probs for Aussies though. They may not be on the top, but the way they dominate the world cricket even in this transition, when they do not have Hyden, Gilly, Bret Lee, Warne, Macgrath, and even Clarke, Haddin and so many others, they dominated.

On a flip side, even with depleted sides of Aussies, Srilanka and even Bangladesh, our OVERHYPED team struggled. No wonder if they manage to draw one or both tests versus Bangldesh.

Thanks to millions of die hard emotional but non-intelligent fans, these OVERRATED cricketers will enjoy brnad ambassador status.

Arvind,
Naked truth is not acceptable in India. After all,India has nothing but cricket while aussies and SA's are leaders in many other sports. So India with its 1 billion has to have something to be proud about.Hence the Indian cricket team is overhyped.Beggars cannot be choosers

Sachin focused on his individual score/centuries /
by km vb on Jan 16, 2010 09:55 AM  | Hide replies

Sachin focused on his individual score¢uries but panel awards to those focused to their country win.
1)Sachin body language is like he is like back door attitude whereas Pointing front door attitude.
2)Sachin appears nervous, shy, not willing to come up with views to public and media(very careful)-Poining is free attitude type, bold, courageous, comes up to public and media with views.
3)Sachin has no role of leading team- no command,no control of team,no regular suggestions,no regular advises,no risk,no tension,no criticism whereas Poinint leads the team, control the team , organise the team, wins for country with team support, gives regular suggesons, advises, risk involvment, lots of tension, criticism etc.,
4)Sachin begs for a place and also to play him as opener in ODI whereas Pointing commands his place and also commands right of his position.

with out individual performances there can not be a team effort. And this is exactly the attittude that westerners or whites are right and we are always wrong. I dont understand what more you all need from Sachin. Well i dont agree equating him to God like the diehard indian fan but criticism like this comparison is also uncalled for.

Why is India playing Bangladesh?
by M Alem on Jan 15, 2010 10:06 PM  | Hide replies

India has nothing to gain from this tour. India can bundle them out for below 100 if they want score 700 plus in an innings whenever India wants. Bangladesh will never ever win a test match or ODI against India. We should play top teams like Australia, England.

If Indian team can't win against BD without big 3 then how this team going to retain no 1 position. Big 3 will be there at most 2 more years and youngsters not ready because of lack of exposure. I expect India A team to win against BD in Tests. BD can win in ODI but tests India A should definitely win.
