South Africa and Australia definitely played more tests than India in the past few years. They are expected to play more tests than India in the years to come. It is only time that either SA or Aus will push India to the second place in the future as India will be playing more ODIs and T20s.
India had already beaten Australia 2-0 when they last played. It is a good opportunity for India to beat SA in this series and show that we are the best team in the world in the test arena. Afterwards, even if India is pushed to second or third place in the rankings, India can always say "well, we do not care about rankings because we did not play enough test to catch up with other top teams; however we are the best test team."
I believe it is a well timed series. I think India is a better team than England and hence expect India to beat SA in this series and demonstrate their dominance in test cricket.
The way the test series were arranged was in poor taste. It was arranged so that India maintain their No.1 status. Why was there no plans for tests in intially. Doesn't the BCCI plan in advance or did they not beleive in their players to be No.1

Because of Sharad Pawar. Nagpur is hosting 3-4 international games every year. There have been no matches in places like Bangalore,Chennai and Jamshedpur for a long time.
Yes chappel is absolutely right by saying our bowlers are useless in bowling, fielding, batting and catching. Dhoni your honeymoon period is over and luck will not work always. Take action and be like ganguly who is stirct in lapses. Dont put gloves in your mouth if something happens in fieding. Captaincy days are counted. Loosing streak gets extended.
I am not saying this because India lost in the Final. Even if we had won we should search our soul for the non performers like Yuvraj and Harbhajan. These players are there as jokers for the team for entertainment and not for performance. Sreeshanth is another culprit who refuses to behave in the field. The attitude of players should be monitored closely by the BCCI.
Indian fielding and bowling have become mediocre and worse in the whole world. The team needs shock treatment. Remove non performers from A League of contract. Getting Rs. 5 lakhs a month without doing any job is a crime.

Even in the league match india in the verge of defeat Yuvi smiled at Kholis brillian fielding and the attitude is shame. Bring new bowlers and throw nehra, Sree, Ishanth and Bajji out. Give chance to Ohja, Chawla, Mishra, Tyagi,Sanghwan, Ashwin, Murali karthik a chance. These idiots will stick with these useless fellows who performs once in a while.

Dude, Yuvraj was not smiling at Kohli's brilliant fielding. That was commentator's mistake. Yuvraj was laughing because when Kohli dived, is pant came off exposing his undies. Replays confirmed the same.
But I still agree Yuvraj needs to be "rested". Pandey should get a chance
Planning is very poor in BCCI and they want to make money thru ODI, T20. Test cricket is dying and so called state presidents are fighting for power in Elections. Sports persons should run BCCI like Sunny,Kapil,More,Srikanth,Azad, Binny and Etc.,
Recently Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackrey as imposed ban on Aussie cricketers citing the justification for it as attacks on the Indian citizens in Australia. Just two days before the ban cmae from Thackrey,Zee television groups' chief Subhash Cnandra met Bal Thackrey at his residence in Bandra,Mumbai. It is learnt that Subhash Chandra wants to spoil the IPL as hic ICL concept was spoiled by hijackign the idea and players by Sharad Pawar dominated BCCI.In order to checkmate Pawar and BCCI,Subhash Chandra and Bal Thackrey have come together. Needless to say Mr. Chnadra would have kept Thackrey happy with his money power.

BCCI can make use of his service in BCCI and they spoiled the ICL and banned all the players without any care including Kapil. Tit for Tat. Y dont they give the telecast rights to Zee Sports. Again Politics.
