Lacking experience?
by ainsley pereira on Jan 14, 2010 11:18 AM

If Indians are lacking experience in their bowling department why dont the selectors bring back Agarkar in the team ? He looks to be in good rhythem.

I disagree with your comment that Agarkar is a better bowler than Sreesanth.

India is in hunt for a young and genuine fast bowler for a long time. So, in the last few years, the selection committee tried with the likes of Ishant, Sreesanth, Munaf, RP, VRV, Irfan, Balaji, Dinda, Tyagi etc.

Agarkar has got enough chances in both ODIs and Tests to prove himself.

Here are the stats for both Agarkar and Sreesanth in tests. Agarkar is 32 and took 58 wickets in 26 test matches and only 1 five wicket haul, while Sreesanth is 26 and picked the same number of wickets (58) in 16 test matches (10 lesser than Agarkar) and has 2 five wicket hauls and 4 four wicket hauls. Agarkar may have better figures in ODIs but a performance at test level is the true test for a fast bowler.

Nope, Belagavi belongs to Karnataka. Has been, will be. You Marathi Manhoos are free to leave anytime you feel oppressed. Now why don't you save your other oppressed Manhoos in Bombay and Poona dude?

Karnataka is ready to return Belgaum., but first let Maharastra gov return Vidharba to its people. Split Maharastra and let vidharba take Belgaum. By the way, I thought Maharastra had a Ranji team which was beaten black & blue & relegated ..!!

is it ? I thought they were beaten in a closely fought match by 6 runs. Anyway I will keep up my words Since Ktaka lost. Let Belgaum belong to Vidharba state once it is formed.
Mahesh, my reply was for those who link un-wanted border dispute with sports. Since they said Belgaum should belong to Maharastra, I wanted to remind that Maharastra Raji team was relegated to lower division in this season.

Whats wrong with Uthappa
by Madhyam Dhwani on Jan 14, 2010 01:30 AM

He was India's next best player in 2007. What happened to this fellow?

He heeds to cut his weight, put his head down and bat.

He bombed in both IPLs. He needs desperate councelling to look at things objectively.
