Kudos Jaitley, Shame on Kirti Azad
by sonia shah on Jan 09, 2010 09:58 PM

Good Move by Arun Jaitley for the sake of cricket. Jaitley has also helped Narendra Modi take over Gujarat Cricket Association, I am sure that Gujarat will win the Ranji Trophy in 2010 and BJP will also take over BCCI and India very soon.

EYE WASH
by damodaran mohan on Jan 09, 2010 09:30 PM

This is all eye wash of DDCA executive members who have developed enormous clout and vested interest in running of Delhi cricket by mostly non-cricketers. DDCA are likely to get some reprieve due to BCCI's financial clout in ICC.It will be most unfortunate if DDCA sleeps over it remaining in denial mode as usual pretending action in the name of some CIC eye- wash. Unless the 'Sports committee' is dissolved and the ex-committees revamped , there is no chance of any qualitative improvement in the working of the DDCA.

Build NEW cricket grounds fit for 22 centuary
by chandra petal on Jan 09, 2010 09:06 PM

Cricket in India makes piles of money and this is the time build new cricket grounds all over major cities of India. They should be better than world class and should provide excellent comfort like good cusion chairs and add fan of cool air under every seat as Indian summers are above 90 degrees. Cool water fountains should be every where, Movable and or flexible sheds should be provided for the comfort of people who spends plenty of money to attend to see cricket match. Sitting on hard chairs and facing the hot sun should be thing of the past. Millions of people all over the world would be watching the match so design of the stadium should breath taking. People in other countries would appreciate Indian stadium designs and should create a "wow" factor. Most of the cricket stadiums in India are below par and do not good at all. Time to spend more money now and give all stadiums for practice to young cricketers. Can India do it. If China was playing cricket they would have created miracle stadiums to potray chinese image abroad. Think what India can do to change the image from snake charmers to world class builders. Billion people can watch Matches played in India and image can be created which will make evry Indian proud. Any body listening.

Cricket should be in the hands of Cricketers
by Bhagwat Mathur on Jan 09, 2010 08:48 PM  | Hide replies

It is heartening to note that CIC is being consioderted positively. It should give great fillip to the sport in Delhi.
IOn fact the administration of Cricket shopuld be in the hands of former Cricketers and not in the handfs of politicians who have never held a bat or ball in their hands.

Every State Should Have
by Praveen Goud on Jan 09, 2010 08:30 PM

When Mumbai, Kolkata and Bangalore have CIC why not for all the states?. Why delhi which gave many and famous cricketers have to beg for this committee?.

Until another state questions the nepotism tactics of the members of concerned state cricket association, it is better to create CIC for every state.
