MS:

IF the number of Indian students doubles, they will earn 6 billion dollars.

And IF the number of Australian students to India goes up a million times, we might actually start earning a billion dollars or so ourselves....
Any other IFFY games? :)

I thought it was more than 3 billion. Doesn't matter - plenty of Chinese will come and take their places. Plus we sell billions of gas and iron ore to China so we won't be missing 3 billion and won't have to put up with all of the whining.

Aussie attitude
by chelsea on Jan 07, 2010 01:07 AM  | Hide replies

This is the one thing that teams should learn from Australia. They never accept defeat until the last wicket is taken or the last run scored.
You take them lightly or take the foot of the pedal against them, and they'll sneak up on you like a thief and before you know it, they've robbed you of that win.

Bangalore ODI is a typical example where they snatched the match in dying moments and broke Team India mentally.

You apparently forgot how we lost a drawn match at the same venue two years back. :)

But you are right on one count though, we are the current #1 in tests. :)

The way Pakistan were intent on not getting Hussey's wicket, any side could do this.

A Singh:

Is it? :)

And we lost in Sydney 2008 coz we WANTED to give all our remaining wickets in the last over to Clarke. :)

We won test matches in India against Australia becoz Australia wanted to give all their wickets to us... :)

In short matches are never won. It is someone who loses who shouldn't have. :)

Only tied ODIs and tied tests are the ones you will consider worthy of discussion, eh? :)

Few websites provides really basic stuff on Cricket:
1. Wikipedia
2. BBC sport academy
3. yehahicricketdotcom
4. eazynearticlesdorcom and many more.
Apart from that google is best tool to find any dam basic info. Once one passes basic level to advnaced then he should watch cricket matches for atleast 2/3 years to understand game practically. Then can use sites like cricinfo for knowing playing nations and players. Then next step would be to read columns written by various experts to understand different viewpoints on cricket.

Ozzies pull one from the hat
by Bodh Ramdeo on Jan 06, 2010 11:19 PM  | Hide replies

There's a reason why Ozzies are Numero Uno in Cricket- they have the audacity to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat, whiles the others who shall remain nameles, always seem to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
Good show!

Like the charitable Indian side which had done exactly the same thing two years back ... :)

We had a drawn match on our hands despite the worst umpiring from Bucknor, but we became much more charitable in the end... :)

Gr8 win for Punter & Co.
by statesman on Jan 06, 2010 10:25 PM  | Hide replies

Hats off to Punter and his never-say-die fighters. Itz time for the Porki selectors to kick out Kamran Akmal, Mohd Yousuf, Imran Farhat, Faisal Iqbal, Salman Bhatt, and Misba Ul Haq lock, stock and barrell. I don't foresee any Porki win in Tests against the Aussies for another 5 years with such a shabby team.

No need to waste any money by approaching this Porki team for fixing any matches. With such a great pitch to bat on even on the 5th day, only the Porkis can lose a Test on a platter.

ViNAY:

Going by that logic even India fixed its match against Sri Lanka....

Scored only 20 runs in the LAST 5 overs when batting.
Gave away so many runs while bowling.

Reminds you of something? :)
