Sachin should be given Bharat Ratna. It is NOT only this double hundred, for last 20 years he has batted in most elegant manner and has made whole country proud. To be copared and equalled to Bradman is no less.
2-3 years back, when Sachin did not perform well, there were suggestions that of retirement. Good God, he did not do so. Otherwise one does not know, how long one-day cricket has to wait for one to score 200. Till now, so many came close to it but did not get. Even Sachin has missed twice!!
i wud think twice on this suggestion of conferring Bharath Ratna by maha govt Sachin has achieved after playin 400 ODIs which only two or three people have played so far. I feel sehwag has already achieved great milestones in terms of individual scores much earlier in his carrier than sachin. if u play very very ling time definetely one dqay records will happen. nothin great in tht. playin long years is of course greatness but not geting highest individual scores after 20 years of playing cricket.

priyanka, how many sports legends had such a long succesful stint in there career or even survive for 20 yrs. it's just sachin who embezzled continously in these yrs therefore u should salute him for his heavenly quality, and just not find faults in playing for 20 yrs.

But to play for long itself is GREAT. everyone can't do that. So much of hard work, dedication,temeperament,discipline,talent,etc etc etc.... is involved. THAT MAKES THE MAN THE BEST IN THE WORLD. Sachin should be saluted instead of searching for faults. People are also great. They can find faults in anything

Sachin's 200 not out in 147 balls is simply great because against a strong team S.Africa.& he met in the last over 193 6 1.There was a very less chance to do that because Dhoni was not rotating the strikes.Out of Dhoni's 68 runs 52 runs by fours & sixes he faced only 35 balls.

Sachin is the pele of one day cricket. Since cricket is played in three formats, he cant be said to be the greatest in general. Sachin still has to make a triple hundred in tests and he doesnt play T20s very well, which is the future of cricket. Also the conditions were overwhelming supportive to the batsmen. The ground was small, pitch flat and out field very fast. So the double hundred is nothing special in it.

Well.. there were 22 players.. 5 indians batted, n 11 Africans.. Why only Sachin got 200?? It's his flawless innings that sets him apart.. Dude, the SA Aussie match 434 chase?? That ground was even smaller than this one...
Anyways, no need to argue.. He is and will be THE BEST for the entire eternity (I hope.)
