There were batting pitches earlier - but no one scored a double. They played against weak attacks like Zim,Ken,BD - but no one scored a double. Some one hold the highest runs record got life two times in his innings - and Sachin made it with out giving any chance.

Who holds the other to bat like Sachin on the same pitches.Only the presence of this great batsman in Indian Team is itself a gain to us whether he fails sometimes to give you the big scores.
