A thorough Gentlemen

What i like about Tendulkar is that even after achieving a stupendous feat in world of cricket, he still remains very humble and grounded. Honestly I didnt expect Tendulkar to reach this milestone. You'd expect Sehwag, Dishan, Gayle or Gilchrist to crack a double century because of their belligerent style of playing. But Tendulkar to have reached this milestone is all the more special considering his age, which speaks volumes about his fitness, focus and hunger for doing well for the country.

Hats to a Thorough Gentlemen and a true Champion.

When Sachin Tendulkar travelled to Pakistan to face one of the finest bowling attacks ever assembled in cricket, Michael Schumacher was yet to race a F1 car, Lance Armstrong had never been to the Tour de France, Diego Maradona was still the captain of a world champion Argentina team, Pete Sampras had never won a Grand Slam.

When Tendulkar embarked on a glorious career taming Imran and company, Roger Federer was a name unheard of; Lionel Messi was in his nappies, Usain Bolt was an unknown kid in the Jamaican backwaters.

The Berlin Wall was still intact, USSR was one big, big country, Dr Manmohan Singh was yet to "open" the Nehruvian economy. It seems while Time was having his toll on every individual on the face of this planet, he excused one man. Time stands frozen in front of Sachin Tendulkar. We have had champions, we have had legends, but we have never had another Sachin Tendulkar and we never will.

Soon a player will surpass this 200 figure. But that person will surely will not have 400 plus match experience.

SACHIN LONG LIVE
by vasudev ravula on Feb 26, 2010 08:53 PM

It was a joy.... nothing but joy to watch the little master and terrific blaster
scoring all the runs for himself and ran by himself.unlike the others who held record for a very long time with the help of a runner doing the running job for themself. Here The little giant had ran not only ran his runs but also ran the runs for the batsmen at the other end. Terrific stamina and amazing fitness. No one can describe Sachin's innings for the simple reason that it is not describable but enjoyable by watching glued to the seats in the stadium or fixing the eyes to Television.
We are waiting for VEERU to go for a 500 Score in test matches ?

Jayaho Schin !!!!!
