Rift amongst Oz players.
by B M on Feb 24, 2010 02:15 PM

The fault line amongst Oz players is very clear. Those who favour participation in IPL are players like Warne, McGrath, Gilchrist & Brett Lee who have truncated their services for their national teams with the intention of making a fast buck in their last few active years in cricket. Those who are hesitant are the younger ones who are still looking forward to playing for long time for their national team!

Warne & co have sacrificed their formal career for the sake of IPL. They will not give in so easily for calls to pull out of the tournament!

Subse bada rupaiah (dollar), maan!

Great work by IPL!

If IPL creates rifts amongst the players of strong teams like Australia, it is good for India in the forthcoming competitions.

As if there is no conflict among Indian team. Ravindra Jadeja issue, Harbhajan-sreesanth issue. When it comes to Money (like IPL), everybody will fight.

Those are not real rifts. Ravindra Jadeja is young and immature. Sreesanth and Harbhajan are both mentally retarded.

Security?
by Titus Godwin on Feb 24, 2010 01:57 PM  | Hide replies

Tommrow some international sporting event may scheduled any were in Europe, Australia, US and elsewere and if any terror group issue a warning like this - all are going to boycott the event? There is no other way than 'let us face it' kind of approch, but at the same time we should provide a security to cover all aspect of terror strike as feasible to the satisfaction of world community / international standard.

their decision is based on report of security consultant rather than particular thread, that way no one will come to India for CWG'10

When stock market reacts to share price of your company based on future plan, what you gonna do? you live on reality and not speculations.

There is a difference in security provided by Indian and european countries , USA and ISrael

India only gives defensive security cover to players and installation
Wheras european countries , USA and ISrael give defensive as well as offenssive

USA along with NATO forces is attacking and neutralizing Taliban and other terrorist organization and these terrorist org are in the run.
India is doing nothing to attack these Laskar taliban etc. These org are having a field run
Look at Mossad of Israel, It got the head of a terrorist org eliminated in Dubai.
And for INdia Dawood saeed anwar are still alive roaming and threatning freely

Let all the countries start boycott events in India and then only the govt will wake from its slumber

Dear europeans are like minded when it comes to the security of their nation, they will not compromise it with it.

Shame on us Indians for not being like minded.

Everytime they fight each other on linguistic basis and caste and religion basis

Shame shame on us

Its better for them to stay away, the IPL show will go on...! Its not necessary we need to make them richer, if they do not have any faith in our country, better to give our boys some good oppurtunity and make them richer. Its not like Australia always vulnerable and scary and idiotic aussie people.INDIA is much safer compared to that Australia.

@Ashoka, What is the problem to Bihari in Mumbai, There are still lacks of them staying there happily and earning their bread and butter, Mumbai is not like Asam where 75 bihari were burn alive. Mumbai is always a safe place to every one in india. Dont give the example of a few incident which happen out of mob aggression when Lalu wants to recruit 100% bihari in railways of Maharashtra region. This is going to happen every where if it is like that.

Yes dear, a Bihari can live happily in mumbai or elsewhere if he respects the law and culture of the land. Nature lovers can go to jungles, kashmir and food lovers can go to Indian, german or swiss bakeries. Its probably the cowards who cant and are afraid.
