Boom Boom Afridi right.

Yes Afridi should be left aside. Fans should enjoy his brand of cricket. He is a crowd puller. His batting power is a treat to watch. If anybody can forget Sachin punished for ball tampering, then why not Afridi? He should be. Afterall when someone playing for the country can do such things out of pure frustration. Infact we have seen the Australians & the South Africans using every means of tactics to win a match for their country. But they always go scot free. ICC match refrees can see any wrong doing of them whereas all the cricket followers can see the same with their naked eye.So sad isn't it?

aa aa!
Just for his images of a crowd puller one must ignore all his mistakes, right?
FYI, when Sachin was never ever been punished for ball tempering! He and rest 4-5 Indian player were found innocent in South Africa.
More besides, he has done the same things many a time before. For example, one in WC-2003 when he abused either Dravid or Umpire (everybody heard that clearly), in England he tried to affact the pitch and there must be a lot more.

Afridi comparing tiger woods
by national madraasi on Feb 23, 2010 01:52 PM

He thinks he is equal to tiger woods in the global arena.
.
no one knows him outside the subcontinent and some migrant slave workers in the middle east.
.
tiger woods did not do something with the game, but afridi did all nonsense,
,
he was wearing the national flag and doin all crime.
.
in fact all borgistaaneez do all wrong things in the name of nation, because the nation itself was born for wrong reasons.

The sacrifices one makes for the country!
by VASUDEVAN V on Feb 23, 2010 01:40 PM  | Hide replies

Ha, the sacrifices one makes for the country! Keep it up Afridi. In the first one dayer against South Africa, Tendulkar clearly touched the rope at the same time as the ball (may be he was not aware of it at that time), but the third umpire blundered by not declaring it a four. He did it for the country. When Nehra bowled a wide in the death overs (the ball pitched on the full outside the line marking the wide), but it was not declared a wide by the on field umpire. It was a blatant error and may be he did it for the country. The net result, South Africa lost by a run whereas they would have won by a run if these two runs robbed from them was added back to their total. Of course, everyone does for the country!

were u standing on the other side of the rope to say so??.....and btw if it did become a four i think the bowling would have been even tighter!
and yes what afridi did was what he did......but in the case of nehra and tendulkar it was the umpire.....and everything was not clear so u cant blame any1!!

Truth is bitter! Well, my truth has certainly hurt you without doubt and it is bitter. As for Amit Shah, I have not blamed Tendulkar or Nehra. I have only said the umpires (remember, all Indians, no neutral umpires were standing in the first one dayer), did it for their country. So, did I blame anyone. Truth, as they is, certainly bitter!

My dear friend, if that was given a four, Parnel would not have been on strike & may be praveen kumar would have bowled langelveld & won the match.

Also please do not forget the borderline wide given in the second last ball, so was that also for the country ?

These things happen, they are not planned & intended. Wrong decision by umpires are a part & parcel of the day.

Don't fume over petty issues

Vivek, next you will say even the run out of Pietersen given by the third umpire was correct!Even after technology if such decisions are given, it is no more a petty issue because margin of victory was just one run. If India had won by a huge margin, it would not have mattered. Even the commentators were surprised and anguished when Pietersen was given run out. If there was an element of doubt (there was no doubt in this case that he was not out), the benefit of doubt should be given to the batsman. As I have said above, it is all done for the country. Since India won, why should I fume. I am only stating bitter facts that hurts!

When India started bowling the umpire gave two decisions against India. Those should have been out.

Mr.Balaji: There is a difference between blatant wrong decisions, especially after referring to third umpire, and on field errors. If you start on the on field errors by Umpires it is a never ending debate!

I think you are confusing about the umpires Mr.Adnan. Both the on field umpires and the third umpire were Indians. They were Umpires AM Saheba and SK Tarapore and TV umpire SS Hazare. So, get your facts right before righting in an open forum.
