They have struck form since lot of them are new. Just like Dhonis new team. Once the other team figure out this new blokes Australia will struggle again. Its only a question of when not how. A team needs atleast 2 world class bowlers and 3 world class batsmen to sustain the dominance for an era. Australia does not have any except Ricky ponting currently. This is just a flash in the pan for them. I would only agree this team to be champions if the OZs run riot for more than a year.

remember Marcus north, Phil Hughes, David Hussey all were tried recently..all clicked only for a while. The thing is, OZs have a very strong bench strength but very less world class players past Warne, Mcgrath, Hayden, Gilly, Langer, Gillespie, the Waughs, Damien Martin, Kasper etc..Only Ponting (fading) and Phil Hughes have some batting talents in the existing lot. Shane Watson only to some extent, guess he will be figured out soon. All these Husseys,Clarke, Haddin etc are no good when they face SA, India, England. Lets see how they go this year. This will be make or break for Australia.
Moreover I agree, we need strong Australian team to maitain balance in the world cricket. Also I hope Pakistan and West Indies soon come up the ranks pretty quickly. It would be nice to see 6-7 teams fighting it out for the top spot. This will be the first time since induction of cricket that a lot of teams will be competing for the top spot. Most of the time this had been a two or one team affair.

AL:
Apparently you haven't seen Ryan Harris and Doug Bollinger bowl.... :)
But that's okay... :)
Chris Gayle was predicted to make mincemeat of the bowling, and he himself predicted a 4-1 win in the ODI series for West Indies.
Having seen the actual matches and the fact that Doug Bollinger got him out every single time, I am inclined to disagree with your "flash in the pan" theory.. if you don't mind... :)

What AL is trying to say is that let these new blokes perform for some time. There performance has been really good over the past few months but the same had happened earlier also.
As far as having seen them bowl, Australia took so long to realize their potential (one is 30 and the other is 28 years old), give us some time . ndia the number one test team abut many out here(i think u r also one of them) want them to perform consistantly over a period of time to justify their number 1 position. But thats not the case in case of these Aussie bowlers ?

did i say that Bollinger and Harris r ordinary bowlers. Did i agree to Dhoni's new team is a flash in the pan. U can jump to conclusions or form ur own conclusions :)
Seems like the giant has woken up from its slumber and started wreaking havoc again. Some would say it was against third rate windies and out of form pak. But wins are wins and wats more chilling is the way they ruthlessly decimated the opponents without giving them a chance to fight. God save the Kiwis next.
