Yes they will be the winner if SRK use some logic instead just doing bossing. Leave cricket to cricketers and allow captain to take full charge of his team, whoever be the captain of the team be.

Oz, Eng players can stay back!!!
by Haddi Pasli on Feb 24, 2010 12:52 AM

Aus and Eng players are welcome to stay. Nobody cares if they play or not!!! You don't "demand" things when you are at receiving end. IPL is paying hefty sums to these players. If they want to earn the moolah...you got to take risks as Indian students are doing in Oz. If not, see you bye bye and tata....

Un-Patriotic
by Sujoy Chatterjee on Feb 23, 2010 06:24 PM  | Hide replies

It was a disgrace for India when IPL was shifted out of India on the eve of Lokasabha elections. It is an affront to the Democratic process in India.IPL is whooly an Indian affair then why shoukd it be played outsideIndia? The Government ought to have taken strong steps against IPL authorities. But big money and the involvement of high-ups acted as a reprieve of IPL. I personally feel IPL should be scrapped and Lalit Modi Et all need to be admonished for their un-patriotic attitude.

Yes. If it is INDIAN Premier League, then let it be in India itself. Crores are lost when the tournament is shifted outside India... Its an excellent opportunity for the locals to earn some money!

If again this time if IPL shifts to other countries, ppl shld stop watching it... let South Africans enjoy the show again and may be ICC and Modi can change the name to International Premier League and run it anywhere they want...!

Pls my friend IPL is not owned by India but instead owned by BCCI which is a private profit making body, as it has said earlier. So dont be a fool and let it be played anywhere.

We should not bog down by this
by Rocky Jurgular on Feb 23, 2010 06:22 PM  | Hide replies

I am sure its a tactics by Aus/NW and now SA boards to shake the new cricket empire - India. IPL owners and BCCI should not allow this thing to happen. They should stick to India as venue and provide good security but should not bog down by these threats.

In nutshell I want to say if some or all foreign players are not coming let them not come and carry on with matches in India. They will learn the lesson and will participate from next time.

The western countries are simply envious of the indian strength and would love to invoke all its means to scuttle the IPL. They are also scared that they might lose their players to the IPL. But they forget that most of the money comes from india and antogonising would not help them at all. Again indian people would not take kindly to shifting of the IPL and for that matter even the indian government would not like it as it would give wrong signals. Let those players who do not wish to come stay in their homes, but we would still watch the IPL!

No need to become over patriotic or over emotional. IPL is a purely commercial entertainment event. Cricketers are just like robots and public like watching a game on Sony Play station.

I am sure Modi has already struck deal with Australians - More money! Now Smith wants the pound of flesh for South Africans.

The foreign cricket stars know that they are prime attractions in IPL. In the whole IPL hardly any of the current Indian cricket stars shine. Without these foreign players (Australians, SA, Sri Lankans and Englishmen, IPL is no more than Deodhar trophy tournament.

by vadivel kumar on Feb 23, 2010 06:01 PM

We cannot take the team owner's words at all because Modi can do anything without consulting with the team owners.Even he will not discuss with the Govt.If IPL moves out of India people should not engourage the tournament and Indian Govt should take strict action against the IPL organisers and BCCI but which will not happen
