Real Heros have emerged again...
by E darwin on Feb 18, 2010 08:37 PM  | Hide replies

As always, Sehwag and zaheer the selfless classy players played to their best performance without asking for captaincy.

Tendulkar and Dravid have shown their refined class as well.

Rohit showed his class, his selflessness and culture to backout and let Laxman join the fray. He could have scored enough in first test and got a chance to stay for 2nd test at the expense of Laxman. But Rohit opted out.

If rohit controls his flamboynace, he joins the league of Dravid due to his natural play.

Dhogi can copy as much he likes, but his aritificial plays cracks when the pitches or bowlers are hostile and tough on him.

Captaincy for Sehwag and Zaheer is over-due but the nexxus of dhogi and srikant is in the way. Srikant wants to take maximum
advantage of his position to wheel and deal.

I hope that 100% selfless nature returns to both yuvi, ishant and harbhajan so they regain their class.

Amit misra like a typical babua purabia snake changed sides after sehwag got him into to the India XI side in Bangladesh.

Amit misra as his purabia slimy nature dictates joined the Selfish and deal making camp of Dhoogi and he is NOW IN 1 DAYERS as
well when Habi opted out, Isant and Ojha are out as well...

Reminds us why these kayastha Thackreys BY HATE BY LANGUAGE wanted to club babuas with majestic Haryanvi (jats), punjabi(jats), Western-UP(Moghuls-rajputs-jats), Rajasthan( Rajputs, Jats) by calling them Northies.

Thackreys the kayastha know that most of the kayasta are babuas from babua land like them.

They are in denial about being from MP, quite like what Abhishek bachaan did by visiting his grand-mother (from mother side) in Bhopal, MP. THEY DID NOT VISIT FOR GRAND-mother sake, but they visited for sake of showing themselve not being babuaas, HOW SELFISH these babuaas are like dhoogi.

NOT TO SAY THAT BABAUS IN truck loads have infiltrated NORTH AND LEECHED NORTH APART INTO PIECES. quite like what Thackreys have done to MARATHI PSYCE by hate.

Babuas cannot be oriyas, bengalis, bhaiyas, etc. Babuaas are too mManipulative...tThacreys are one of them, the bBabaus among mMarathis, hHiding by hHate language.

Bhaji will be a different bowler if he takes wicket early in his spell. You can see a spirited more agressive player and a man who can transfer that fire power to other players also.
If he does not get wickets early in the spell he looks too ordinary and the fire power in him will get thrown down.
That is the difference in him.
He always performed agaist good sides AUS/SA

Indians make it a habit
by vadivel kumar on Feb 18, 2010 08:26 PM  | Hide replies

Indians have the habit of making one player every series a great player and they will not be able to take his wicket throughout the series. The list starts and follows.....
Jimmy Adams
Andy Flower
Mathew Hayden
Younis Khan
Grame Smith
Jesse Ryder
and now latest on the list is Amla.
I bet that he will be a consistent and great player for SA after Kallis/Smith and will be rated one of the finest conventional batsman like Dravid/Gavaskar......
Also there are some players who is always a threat to other teams but not performed against india list of it are
Gilchirst
Gibbs
Inzamam.....

Against all odds - That is what champions are made of
by GS on Feb 18, 2010 08:22 PM  | Hide replies

India battled series of injuries to their top batsman even beore the start of the series, then add to it selection debacle in the 1st test, injury on the field to their paceman now, weather, negative line from opposition and yet won the match by innings and 58 runs bettering what SA did to them in Nagpur. That is what champions are made of, making the impossible feasible.

People are always saying too much attention is being paid to cricket - well as I see the winter olympics, here too champions and greatness is achieved by defying odds and in India only the cricket team is able to give that satisfaction of greatness. Every nation wants heroes and the other sports people need to step up to deliver it, the recognition will follow.

Very nice post, GS, but it's also important to note that other sports infrastructure is terrible in this country. We need able administrators who will bring in money and infrastructure, but so far only the cricket administrators - despite their failures - are the only ones who have succeeded. Just look at HI. How can a game flourish like that? Or how Abhinav Bindra is being treated by the federation. Disgraceful!

Great Win
by Somu on Feb 18, 2010 08:20 PM

This times South Africa cannot complain. Last time when they lost the 3rd test [April, 2008] against India in Kanpur they said the pitch was under prepared and registered a complaint with ICC. But this time the pitch was a sporting one and India was without their strike bowler !!!! Great performance from Team India, Eden Gardens and the curator Mr. Prabir Mukherjee for providing a great pitch.

Neutral Point Of View
by Somnath Sircar on Feb 18, 2010 08:15 PM

I personally think that the moral victory in the series lies with South AFrica. They have managed to hold India to a draw in our home soil. But a great performance by both teams. Congrats to Team India in winning the Eden test in such convincing style after having being beaten thoroughly in the 1st Test. It proves we are the real No. 1 Test side.
