Eden Garden grounds man want India to lose
All match fixing, and betting by bookies.

How dare grounds man say to media that they cannot prepare pitch according to the wish
of BCCI. We will prepare sportive wicket.

When India went to Durban it was bouncing pitch. Then how we cannot prepare a spin track.

Spin track, Fast Bowling Track and Batting Track are the varieties in which all teams must be tested.

Not that all teams play in their favorable pitch which helps fast bowlers and batsman to win.

Yes these Eden guys have always been causing one problem or the other. Should be blacklisted by BCCI.

i think this story goes long back. it between jagmohan dalmiya and shashank manohar. wen jaggu was the bcci boss. shashank manohar was incharge of nagpur. he provided a green track and as u guys know aus wont he test and gangu sat out tat test. and courtesy these bloddyidiots aus won test series in india after 34 years. now its the turn of jaggu to take revenge. all theseassholes putting thr personal egos infront of our country.shame on them

Gary Kirsten is cribbing like a cry baby now! Actually these fluke no.1 Test team, wanted a kotla pitch in Eden which was not provided. Without penetrative bowling this wicket will not do anything silly even in the 5th day, and with the bowling Mr. Kirsten has nurtured he is not confident of taking 7 wickets on the last day. So Kirsten shud be more concerned abt his team's performance and not Eden facilities!

LOL

ohhhhhh Tamil Tamil Tamil

Krishnamachari Shrikanth finally pushed 3 Tamil players and Fkucked the India's number 1 position and said selection is not an issue !

What a joke!

Badrinath and Murali Vijay were big flop.

Instead of Badrinath, Suesh Raina / Virat Kohli/ Abhishekh Nayar would have been given chance !

Shame Eden!
by B M on Feb 18, 2010 06:47 AM

We try to project Eden Gardens as one of the finest cricket grounds in the world and its a shame that light or moderate rain can ruin more than half a day of cricket. I places like Australia, play starts within a couple of hours no matter how much it has rained. In Kolkata they struggled inspite of having the super soaker since the staff was not trained to use it properly! Unprofessional approach by CAB!

EDEN GARDENS
by Gopal Krishnan on Feb 18, 2010 05:57 AM  | Hide replies

If the Eden Test ends in a draw, innumerable postmortems will be done as to what the infrastructure should have been, if something had been done ealier and so on. No further actions will be taken and the discussions will again start when we have a repeat of what happened on 17/02/2010. Hindus have lot of faith in God so we will blame everything as our fate. Even when India reached the Finals under Saurav Ganguly in 2003, we were more busy in organising Yagna than focussing on the match ahead. Hence, Make God our 12th Man for all matches.

Chalta hai is the national virtue, and doing things slip-shod and half-arsed is the national norm. Need any further proof? Construction of the C'wealth games venue was so far behind and in such terrible state, yet no one cared to bother. In frustration and exasperation, the head of the CWG body had to complain directly to the PM of the terrible state of affairs, that some actions were finally taken to help put things on the right footing.
Otherwise, it would have been just more of the same chalta hai and more such fiasco like Eden, and Vancouver and....

Gary you have reason to be angry
by Jay on Feb 18, 2010 01:50 AM  | Hide replies

As much as a proud Indian I am, I have to be honest in my thoughts about Indian grounds and their facilities. The Eden Gardens is an iconic venue BUT sadly the same can't be said about its facilities. The ground's drainage system or lack of it is appalling. I can't believe that the BCCI with it's crores of rupees still can't install proper drainage in all of the grounds across India. What a shame ! I feel ashamed to call myself an Indian from that viewpoint. If they had a good drainage system we could have an early start and at least something to better our chances to win this test match.

With one day to go, I don't see any result other than a draw. We don't have the quality in our bowling to topple 7 more wickets in 3 sessions. Hell ! SA couldn't do it then how can we ?

Is lack of good drainage at the ground enough reason for you to be ashamed to call yourself an Indian? Try to be more balanced in your outlook.

IPL using IPO money--DLF
by Skewed on Feb 18, 2010 12:24 AM

DLF raised crores of money through IPO route with a promise to India that the proceeds will be used to build realty and infrastructure.
But ,it seems it was to be used to fund IPL matches as no amount of money is being invested for construction activity. Most of the proposed projects of DLF are cooling in cold storages . Projects remained on drawing board.
DLF is the biggest theif who plundered India public money .
