we will win
by pm on Feb 15, 2010 08:07 AM  | Hide replies

I believe that we should complement our players for their fightback. They did not give up even when Amla and Peterson were going strong. Especially our bowlers Ishant and Zaheer, who bowled their heart out.

I believe that how much we may malign them when they lose, how much we may try to run them down but playing for country is a very big thing and each player does his best.

So we should have faith in them and faith in ourselves this is the secret of champions. That they can do it no matter what it is this belief that separates the best from the good sides.

zaheer is captain material who has been denied his deserving place, yet he is selfless, read below.

zaheer cannot take wicket without support from other side bowler - this is a fact. even foreign coach say that. same is with any nation bowlers.

re:only bad new is good news

we would have won the first match as well if team was not demoralized by nexxus and captaincy of Dhoggi.

Now they have to force themselves to over-drive.

this is why Petersen has to slam the SELFLESSNESS of Indian bowlers by saying he did it for himself like Dhogi does.

Win or loose, everything will be as usual after this match. Dhoogi already played his innocent victim and misery card about the pitch.

If zaheer is wary of capaincy due to politics of today, we have sehwag and harbhajan would can be intermediate captains.

==================

KOLKATA: In a sensational disclosure, a Bengali daily on Saturday claimed that the Indian team sent Sachin Tendulkar with a request to Eden Gardens curator Prabir Mukherjee that he should shave the grass off the pitch for the second Test between India and South Africa, starting on Sunday, but it was politely turned down.

Mukherjee has been hogging the limelight over the last few days with a section of the media abuzz with reports that he had refused to entertain requests from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for preparing a turner to suit Indian spinners.

India are trailing 1-0 in the two-Test series and are in a must-win situation not only to save the series but to retain their number one slot in world Test rankings.

Interestingly, India were in the same situation two years ago when South Africans outplayed them in Ahmedabad, and won the second Test at Kanpur on a rank turner to level the series. The South Africans raised a stink over the pitch and lodged a protest with International Cricket Council (ICC).

Bengal daily reported that Tendulkar approached Mukherjee with the request on Friday only to be told by the octogenarian, "You are Sachin Tendulkar and the quality of your batting will not be affected whether there is grass on the wicket or not." Tendulkar then replied that he had come to speak to him on behalf of the team management. "It will be better if the grass is removed".

Indian batsmen should pile up a huge huge total without losing many wickets and bat for two days and rest would be history.India will keep No1 position.Tell Sachin and Sewag not to be erratic.Gambhir and Laxman should bat extremely well. Our Fielders to show they are the best in the World. Zaheer and Harbhajan will do the trick.Dhoni as a Captain and WK will glitter.Shine India shine.

eden gardens pitch
by GOUTAM GHOSH on Feb 14, 2010 09:00 PM

Indian cricket team think tank became unnecessarily worried about Garden Pitch. Eden not only has the world class outfiend but also has a curator who is bold enough to create proper wickets.
Long Live Eden Gardens!

This article in rediffmail begins as "Team India [ Images ] finally woke up from its deep slumber and proved why they are the number one Test team in the world." Our bowlers did a great job in the final session of the second test. Yes. But we need to see how our batsmen counter steyn and co. By no means this match is over. W still have 4 days to go. Hope Team India keep performing well as they did during the thrid session. All the best guys.
