playing Ishant and Mishra instead of Srishant and Ojha. Also, Vijay doesn't make sense ahead of Raina, Kohli and Pandey in middle order.

He needs to be dropped for like 4-5 months .Is totally off colour last 6 months. Not taking Sreeshanth and Ojha wl cost us the match once again.

STUPID SHRIKANT
by pranav dorwal on Feb 14, 2010 09:37 AM  | Hide replies

If M/S Shrikant has his way, he will fill up the entire Indian team with TN players. Where is the merit in playing M Vijay and Badri. Raina is far better than Badri and nobody heard of Vijay before he made debut for India. Also Vijay was brought in as a specialist opener and now when both openers are fir, does he deserve a place? Why not pick Pujara or Manish Pandey?

Pujara will get into the Test team in future. He missed an entire season due to knee injury and has just started again. He was in the XI which played against the SA in the first class match, but did not get going. If he performs consistently well, he will be selected for Tests.

Don't be biased. After Dravid, Tendulkar and Laxman, Badrinath is the best middle order batsman available for Tests. He has been a consistent performer in domestic cricket. You need to watch cricket other than IPL if you want to understand why Badrinath is selected.
