I see lot of comments on selection (which was bad), sachin (even though he batted well in the 2nd innings) and saha. But the real reason for the loss was not batting but pathetic bowling. In fact in the last year most of the wins have been setup by batsmen (excluding Bangladesh), and the bolwing has struggled many times. In fact even against Bangladesh, India were struggling to take the last 5 wickets in both the test matches. Check out India's bowlers - Harbhajan - He can dance, slap, sledge, talk but cannot bowl. Ishant - His claim to fame is that he troubled Ponting in 2007 Mishra - Ok , but fit for IPL Ojha - He is OK Zaheer - The only bowler who looks like taking a wicket, but cannot be categorised as a major strike bowler. Sreeshant - He will bowl well in one match a year.
So, like Shewag said about Bangladesh, India cannot win matches against good teams because they cannot take 20 wickets.

Who won the match for SAF, Amla or Steyn?. Actually bowlers won the match for SAF. For India, except Zaheer and all other bowlers are at below bar performance. Harabjan needs some 6 months rest. Sreesanth won't help india's cause either and he is not consistant. Atleast now BCCI should invest some money and find some new talent who can bowl 150KM consistantly. Otherwise India will never be number one team.

The reasons for selecting Tami Players: 1) Vijay : He is tall and he scores heavily against assam, Manipur, Mizoram and Meghalaya 2) Dinesh karthik : Good Running and alternate wicketkeeper. treat inswinger and outswinger in the same manner 3) Badri : Old. Playing school cricket for a long time.

You can only inspire people who have talent.. Bhajji, Ishant and Mishra are over rated.. In fact Bhajji is only good for making bhajji in Delhi. Ishant should not be selected for sometime till he works on his bowling and speed (His only claim to fame is that he troubled Ponting in 2007). As for Mishra he is good for IPL. Lastly Zaheer is the only bowler who looks like taking a wicket against good teams (not Bangladesh, kenya), but that is not enough to win tests against SA, Australia and England.

Ishant, Nehra are the tall idiot. Ishant has no clue where to pitch the ball. Nehra might ball six dot balls but for the last delivery he will come so fast blindly and will be hit for six. No control. I do not know how much they bribe selectors to vote for them...he he its all money and politics...They do not play for country... Body banau in add films, they do not sleep on time. so they cant give their best.
