I think Kallis should have forgotten that eventhough dravid, vvs are not playing. The trio of Gambhir, VIRU and the MASTER himself are still in line.

Last couple of years seen some interesting developments:

1. Aus side depleted by more than 50%.
2. SA side depleted by 50%.
3. Pak depleted by 90%.
4. India appreciated by 50%.

Had there been old Aus & SA teams, India could have found greater resistance in all formate of cricket.

so u mean to say india must not perform when their sides are depleted... aussies wre on top when the whole cricketing world was depleted...

:) Good to know that when Sachin, Rahul, Ganguly, VVS, Kumble, Harbhajan etc. were in their peaks, India was a "depleted" side.... ;)

Also interesting to note that Lara is a depleted version of Gayle etc. etc. :)
