BCCI is killing test cricket
by Jay on Feb 06, 2010 08:07 PM

First of all I would like to congratulate Kallis and Amla for their fine centuries. Commendations aside, I thought this pitch at Nagpur is a DISASTER for test cricket. Can you believe that the pitch is crumbling and staying low on day one of a test ?

I seriously want to know what the hell BCCI is doing with managing test cricket in the country. They (BCCI) are killing the game thanks to substandard pitches. Add to that the third rated bowling the Indians have and we have a bored yawner. I won't be surprised if SA go on to make a 1000 runs. Sure, then India are no mugs with the bat either. They could also make another 1000 IF they want to.

So who is the LOSER here ? - you got it, the Indian public. In a sentimental country like ours where fake stars shine, people fail to see certain truths. If India are to stay number one, they got to first of all bite their egos. They need to prepare TOP CLASS pitches like Australia, SA and England. Surely, race has nothing to do with this. All it takes is ingenuity. People need to remember that a low scoring test can sometimes be the BEST crunch encounter.

I don't see a result in this game unless India bat alarmingly in both their innings. The South African fast bowlers will be totally negated on this surface and even though all of them are in high spirits now, expect to see a lot of 'cry baby' faces come days 3 an 4.

- from a frustrated Indian supporter and BCCI hater.

BTW......SEHWAG JUST STATED PLAIN FACTS THAT BANGLADESH NEVER EVER TOOK 20 WICKETS OF ANYSIDES IN THEIR TOTAL 63 MATCH ALL THEY PLAYED EXCEPT LAST YEAR WHEN THEY PLAYED WEST-INDIES B OR C TEAM !! SO WHAT WAS WRONG IN THAT !!!

DHONI PREDICTABLE
by Gopal Krishnan on Feb 06, 2010 05:21 AM

Toomuch is being made about the interview. Remember, Kapil Dev, one of the greatest player to have played for India, once remarked, "It is easy to play against West Indies and defeat them rather facing the media persons'. Allow the player to do his job on the field and let the talking be done by those who cannot play and only talk.
