Tendulkar
by aman randhawa on Feb 06, 2010 04:24 AM  | Hide replies

Yaar koi Tendulkar ka naam hi ni leta....

Sehwag is the key wicket acc. to Steyn....Smith says they will target Dhoni....others say Dravid absence is a big blow...

Atleast spare a little thought for the great man as well...

I know these days Sachin is having too many mouths against him.....but at the end of the series most likely he will still end up in 3 top run scores from both sides...

Sehwag is a destroyer, no doubt in that...he will present chances as well.

But if Sachin passes 20...SA may soon realise who their key wicket is.

Good length and consistency needed to conquer Sehwag
by Medulla Oblangta on Feb 06, 2010 03:07 AM

Have good fielders placed one each at point, third man, gully and 3 slip positions, keep on bowling consistently with good length outside the off stump in corridor of uncertainity, Sehwag would keep on trying his slashes without footwork and one of 20 such slashes would surely be mistimed and fly to one of the fielding positions mentioned above and he is done.

Let me ask you. Are you suggesting that he will be diplomatic about Bangladesh test status. Man they are in pathetic state and somebody just spoke the truth. That is another thing that our top order has a nack of kind of sacrifical for Banglades cause and gifted them their wickets on the first day. If he had said the same words when Bangladesh had entered test status, i would have also felt bad. but now the team has been around for years and they play test as 20-20. Seems all their players are in mood of creating individual records. One such example was 1st innings of 2nd test when Asraful was well set and set out on Ojha as if it was last ball of 20-20 and there was 6 to win.
Anyway, go to hell, who cares you hating Sehwag....he got billions to love. He has single handedly made test match as entertaining as any other form of cricket.

Bowling or Batting
by RAJ sharma on Feb 06, 2010 01:11 AM

Team India needs to throw complacency out the window, which has been our team's biggest letdown, rather than go down fighting we tend to go down with a thud.Good Luck to our Team.

Now that the Proteas have massaged his ego, Sehwag will be beaming ear to ear and get out within a few overs. He better be careful and not let this praise get to his head - it might just be a strategy!

It's not a challenge
by sunil k on Feb 05, 2010 09:11 PM  | Hide replies

Yes on a very very flat pitch, bowling to any indian toporder batsmen is a challenge for any visiting team...but if there is enough bounce and movement, all are gone... in the absence of dravid this is the finest opportunity for SA to win the testmatch.....sehwag is not a real threat for quality pace attack on a good pitch...dangerman is dravid b'cause of his ability to play quality pace attack, build partnerships and ability to play long inningses...that makes him far better player than sehwag...sehwag can entertain for a while..but cant lost long against this kind of attack unless curator prepares another dead pitch as we have seen in resent series against lanka....infact micheal Jhonson showed how to get sehwag out in the resent 1 dayers...bowl out side the off then bring one back at him to get bowled between bat n pad or LBW....

sunil,
why don't you blame the SA's ENG Aus or NZ when they have home bouncy pitches the same way you are blaming indians and there sucess because of flat pitches???

Atleast once in life time appreciate our people....

If we play on flat pitch even the SA's batmens will play on the same pitch so it is even advantage....

Hypocrites...

Mr. Indian,
It is not the same. Look at the last series. India could just manage to draw it. And that is after having two turning slow and low pitches. For whatever the rankings say SA and AUS are still better than India.

Dont completely agree Jai Hind, I feel India is better and more consistent these days. It has been a lot of people's dream for India to play consistently for a long time. And despite occassional cockups, Indian team is living up to that dream... Hope it improves

Rediff information is wrong
by rohit rathi on Feb 05, 2010 08:12 PM

next Test at Ahmedabad [ Images ]. Eight wickets in the match -? including a five for 23 in the first innings -? ensured his side a comprehensive win and him the man-of-the-match award.

Common Rediff. MOM was AB Deviliers for 217 N.O

Seems your guys knowledge is very limited

Right. Bowl him after Tea on Day 2 (if India is batting first). If India is batting second, the 5 over rule will change! :-p
