Hope
by Rakesh Narayan on Feb 04, 2010 12:26 AM

I hope the BCCI arent acting cheap and nickel and diming Kirsten. Hes one of the reasons they have maintained focus and become the Test no 1 team. Its not easy for Tendulkar and Dravid to be so motivated so late in their career. But BCCI have been an expert in screwing things up so who knows.

Coconut or peanut

I am sure BCCI pays him much better than what SA board can offer.

Why will Kirsten go for peanuts when he is already getting coconut?

Money is not everything. Remember Graham Ford of SA, who was offered the assignment prior to Kirsten. He also might have got a good offer. But he didnot accept it.

A letter to Mr. Gary Kirsten
by Murali Krishnan on Feb 03, 2010 02:05 PM  | Hide replies

India is a country with huge wealth, people and lots of innovative ideas. People will think differently and act differently at different times.

The upcoming SA tour will be a litmus test to your capability. There are 2 options. One India should win or should lose. A draw situation will not arise since India u know very well will do a slump job in the 1st test and will try to gain lead but ultimately ends up with a loss or draw.

Now, in every interview the BCCI persons are saying your tenure will be extended. Kindly dont take the words. They are merely words and not from heart. If CSA gives u a job ot national team manager, please accept and do for your country. These people (BCCI) will suddenly change and say we are not extending Mr Gary's contract. Then you will land up in problem.
