Yes, it's call "the mad ball disease" (even more virulent then "mad cow disease" or "swine flu"). Seems this mad ball disease has been infecting many in the Pak team- it's most malevolent form manifested in Afridi's aberrant behavior. Hopefully, his little 'rest', will help him get over it.
If Afridi becomes the ODI captain, Pakistan's chances of WC 2011 are doomed...I guess he is not someone to be looked upon, only performing in bursts..he surely is match winner, but for captaincy, you need much more than that, which Afridi surely lacks. Looking Ahead, Kamran Akmal or Shoaib Malik are much better choices. Afridi has himseld buckled to pressure and resorted to such tactics. At that level, you do things to inspire, not to hide your face in shame and embarrassment...
