.15 am: the weather is at the moment is simply ... epic. It's not cloudy now. Rather bright in fact. The rain drenched Kingsmead last evening shortly after stumps and went away, thankfully.
9.00 am: The heavy rain that lashed Durban last evening has cleared and the weather is sunny on the fourth morning of this wonderful Test match. South Africa need 192 runs to win the series, India need seven wickets to level it at 1-1. There's some bad weather forecast for later but this Test will be decided today.

I will pen down a book on RECORDIST cricketers and certainly they and their fans will be after me and my publisher with chappals.

Why don't you write your playing 11 here... let's all analyze it and find whether that team would have won the match in SA instead of this one? With a fair judgment of course, and not with those non-sense statements. Make sure you back your team with facts. All the best. :)

Our horse scored his record 50th ton and still India lost humiliatingly. Nobody will never forget it and will never forgive this BREAD-MAN.

Against Pesudos,
There is no pointing warding of valid criticism. However great, however voluminious Sachin's records may be, they have hardly been consequential in turning around the state in his team's favour, primarily in alien conditions.
His great knocks are worthy of remembrance, but when taken in isolation about the end result of the game.
A great performance in a team sport is always when seen in the context of 'worth to turn around' the situation in his/her team in alien conditions.
Now, most of his great knocks do not come through such scrutiny.
Am a fan of Sachin but I love Indian Cricket more.

Don't force me to post stats here. Every para of that reply is contradictory. Just check it out yourself.

:) So you agree that a cricketer should be as selfish as Laxman to play only when the performance is "worth to turn around" the situation, else not to bother? ;-)

if that is the case then y Laxman did not score that day. We could have saved the match.Having said that i did not compare him and Sachin. Its just that they are both important players for India and it'll b a treat to see both of them flying high in the next test match

Guys, Tendulkar is no match to VVS. Laxman has played 12 crucial innings eight of which helped India win and draw four Tests. None ended in a defeat.

Dear Bro Where is his other inings? Do you know? Are Laxman played only 12 inings in his cricketing life?
Re: Re: Re: Re: No Match
by Baikaar on Dec 29, 2010 12:55 PM
My brother, these are vital 12 VVS innings that saved or ended in victory for India. Show us one crucial one from Sachin. We don't want 12 or 50, just one to remember.

Mr Abhijit, They don't understand Test Cricket! they are 20-20 men.. I am agree with you Laxman is a good batsman without any doubt, but Sachin is a Great legend (all greats of cricket accept it, then who cares their meaningless opinion on the basis of couple of good or bad performances). They people only wait for one bad performance of Sachin and good performance by other and start write...
Re: Re: No Match
by Rajesh Gupta on Dec 29, 2010 12:47 PM
They don't know! They wait only Sachin's bad performance on the day and a gud performance by other and starts comparing and criticizing Sachin.. I am doubt how many of those know about the test cricket
guys y u compare sachin n laxman? they r the two players who performed reasonably well in this series... dont forget 1st test.. sachin was unbeaten with his ton..eventhogh we lost that match..and laxman ddnt score well in that...
he scored in the second test while sachin not...y cant u all critisize dravid, pujara/raina,doni,gamir n sehwag..?
Re: Dont compare Sachin & Laxman
by sameer pandita on Dec 29, 2010 12:20 PM
Yes that true Sachin Plays only for records and fails under pressure when it is needed history tells it all .
Laxman seldom gets a start but once started he ignites the entire field . WoW
Its a pity Sachin will soon be awarded with a Bharat Ratan . Believe me even sania will get one before Sir Kapil Dev and Laxman .This is India afterall

Remember sachin the way he batted with tailenders...most pathetic...He cant save india from Innings defeat. Cant you score at least 30 runs with two tailenders? The character in sachin needs to give a valid reasoning ....

I am not denying the fact that VVS is also a great player and has played well in crucial situations but y are we criticizing Sachin, why not other players like Raina, Dhoni, Gautam, Vijay, Dravid etc.
Re: Re: For Team India
by Mr Infinity on Dec 29, 2010 12:20 PM
Because he like to contribute only when India wins... He is a match-winner you know... :)
Re: Re: Re: Re: For Team India
by Mr Infinity on Dec 29, 2010 12:39 PM
The kind of arguments been done here... From that you can easily conclude that. :) If Sachin plays only when India loses then VVS plays only when India wins... Isn't that fair? :)
aaaah, whom I am trying to convince! One needs to understand that a team game needs a good team to support each other. One pillar can't save the tent all time.

If India lost the 1st match, it is because others did not play and not because Sachin hit 50th ton. VVS is a great player, i too agree. You said VVS has scored in 12 innings, do you think it is good enough to score only in 12 inngs out of xxx?

Re: Re: Re: Re: For Team India

Our win now depends on our bowlers... so you get it or not? It's not just because of Laxman or Sachin. You need Team efforts. If bowlers screw up our bowling attack today, we will lose for sure. Doesn't matter whether VVS made 50,100,200 whatever. I know we have greats like Sachin, Sehwag, VVS, Dhoni etc. but no one is of any use if there is no support from the remaining team.
But some people are so obsessed by either loving or hating one person that they forget that we need to keep emotions aside and find the real problem of this Team game.
