Proved beyond doubt.

This series has proved beyond doubt that matches cannot be won by just having a good captain(Ricky), you need to have great players in your team and a good captain to win matches.

I feel its just a bad phase for CA now, with all the big guns retiring the team has got affected ,But we should also agree that the same ricky ponting have won worldcups for australis and also the same thing can happen to India aswell after the worldcup when sachin, laxman and dravid decides to call it a day . India doesnt have a great bench strength even . On current form i feel south africa and england looks to be a formidable teams to win the world cup .

Laxman is a very selfish player who wanted to add to his personal score... He should have been selfless player like Murali Vijay or Ishant Sharma.... THEY were the selfless players who ensured they didn't cross the two digit mark... ;-)

some bird-brained indians consider ponting the cheat greatest batsman of current era... champion winner of 3 wc's and what else not... so it is not his fault... it is just bad luck... unselfish ponting should be kept in team until he breaks sachin's records... he deserves it even if aussie loses to bangladesh... aussie should play their next 10-15 tests against zimbabwe and bangladesh to give champion ponting chamce to get back to form... poor guy deserves it...

Australians are getting drubbing of the century
by chacha choudhary on Dec 29, 2010 07:44 AM  | Hide replies

I hope aussies loose the final match by this margin again and most of the aged/outspoken/skillless squad is cut down short. Earlier they relied heavily on Mcgrath and Warne but after them they are anaath.....just like street children behaving rowdily....

Nice to see some praise for McGrath and Warne... :)

Curious to know that it took England a whopping 24 years to win on Australian soil whereas McGrath and Warne each played for hardly 15 years... ;-)

Mr.Psedo, chacha is right.

He didnt say there were no other than Mcgrath and Warne. They were just two of fine bowlers on which they heavily relid....that also means there were others.

The point is aussies are roudy, pmpous and full of arrogance and needed a real real jolt.Pointing bhai still does not agree that he should go.

MOST PROBABLY, ENGLAND WILL WIN THE WORLD CUP TOO.

Great Win!!
by GARY on Dec 29, 2010 07:42 AM

Its a great win not just for England but also for the game. For too long Australia have been the champs and crushing everybody. So it is nice to see them getting hammered for a change.

They played quite well, but England was a better team all the way barring the Perth test. It is solid with some true world class batters and bowlers who can click anywhere in the world. At the moment it is the best team in the world.

Let us not forget that it was INDIA that set the ball rolling by beating the once mighty AUSSIES when they had Warne, McGrath, Gilchrist, Hayden and co. So in a way we can tell that India showed the rest how to tame the Aussies. That the current Aussies team is shorn of all these cricket greats makes our start off a creditable one.

Is to win in the fifth test and retire gracefully. Does not look like clark will even play next match. Ausies are going to completely overhaul the team in next match with ponting coming way down at #6.
