Is India on top --- no way.
by ANIL SINGH on Dec 28, 2010 10:02 AM  | Hide replies

We were when we bowled out SA for 131. But our batsmen have returned the favour. from 42-0 to 56-4. Hope VVS can again save us.

Only hope. We only hope that SA bats like they did in the first innings.

Just one msg
by ani on Dec 28, 2010 08:02 AM

I just wanna pass on msg to a few people in rediff who are i biliv avid ganguly fan.

'Please, get over that ganguly hangover. He is past'.
i donno why but mostly all ganguly crazy fans always very critical about rahul dravid and sachin.
Saw a few comments about sachin which i biliv are absolute nonsense. He always played his heartout for his country and he will always. There is no point of expecting so much from a man who is serving the nation's cricket team for 20 years.

And these last words for all the cricket fans of India. Dont you people think it's a li'l too much about being crazy for a game which is only played by say 5 or 6 coutries propely???????

Critics of VVS eat humble pie.....
by Ravi Iyer on Dec 28, 2010 07:51 AM  | Hide replies

Yesterday there were many people mocked on VVS' statement that 250 by India in 1st inngs would be a fighting total. Now see how true has this been. In fact had we reached 250, imagine what the addl 40-50 runs lead would have done to our confidence.
People like VVS make statements after reading the game closely. He has never been just a talker. He has mostly made his bat do the talking in style.

I don't know about VVS, but it is for sure that India had luck by its side yesterday, if that runout of Kallis would not be there, India would have been still fielding.

there are no 'ifs' and 'buts' in cricket. I can counter argue - had VVS not been brilliantly caught by Tsotsobe, the lead would have been more than 200 runs.

Ishanth and Sree a joke
by India on Dec 28, 2010 07:31 AM

It was disgusting to see Sree and Ishanth stuggle on this kind of seamer friendly wicket. If they bowl like this in the 2nd innings they deserve to be dropped for the next test. For South Africa all 3 seamers bowled great.

Sachin - achiever
by suresh j on Dec 28, 2010 02:59 AM  | Hide replies

There is no point in expecting sachin to play in this match. After all, his immediate goal of 50th century is achieved. Such a selfish player and people hailing him the great. Ridiculous

There is no point in expecting only Sachin to be scoring tons in every match. There is nothing preventing others to have a goal of making their 25th century or 5th or 19th.

Yes John, there are a few sour grapes, half-baked thinkers who are trying to belittle Tendulkar. Our guys forgot that they were shot out cheaply in first innings of first test and it was Tendulkar who single-handedly saved from a bigger embarassment.

Cricket is a team game and a team wins not because of a certain captain, player, etc. It is a team effort. In the first test we were not good enough. That's it.
