TRAITOR SACHIN
by Aries aries on Dec 21, 2010 02:15 PM  | Hide replies

Sachin not taking strike and exposing the tailenders is like a soldier running away from battle.

He is a traitor who only plays for personal glory . He should be dropped from team immediately.

Aries

What was the patriotic thing that you have done

Also

Laxman did it against aussies and was lauded for having faith in ishant

Tendy does a misadventure and he is crucified despite being the only one that performed the best in the series.

The JOKER BOWLERS and the bad captaincy of dhoni to allow 640/4 to be scored at 4.2 rpo is quickly forgotten

Amazing, why don't you go to the middle and show tendy and us how to play with tailenders for the entire day.

Nobody should criticise sachin even if he commits a murder , just because he can play better than you.

I admire you on so fairly and squarely criticizing Laxman at Mohali... maybe you can write a letter to ICC to reverse the decision and award that test match to Australia...
According to your brilliant logic India should have lost that test match.... no? :)

It is Good and surprising that Gavaskar Knows about Olympic.
Normally Cricketer and it's Fan does not know much about Olympic.
Cricket has their own God and not concerned about what is happening in other sporting events.
All records at initial stage is always considered unthinkable like Richard Hadlee's 430 wickets 20 years Back... now we have 800 !!

Bradman was incomparable!!!!!!!!!!!!!
by India on Dec 21, 2010 01:00 PM  | Hide replies

Bradman scored 29 centuries in 50 odd test matches he played.

Sachin scored 50 centuries in 175 tests

Had Bradman played 175 test he would have scored 110 centuries..(as compared to 50 by Sachin)

Sir Bradman with avg of 99 is far ahead of Sachin

Bradman played most important role in Australian victory more than his record..

Indians are simply not bothered about country's

victory but only trumpetting an individual

record of one person even if he fails to save a

humiliating innings defeat..........

One can easily compare stats like you did. every second match was a century for brad man. had he played more tests then is a question. Friend one needs to be ultra fit to play for 20 years which bradman was not and that is why Scahin is teh best.

Boy you are wrong on so many accounts. First you say not to higlight individual record and then go about comparing tendy to Bradman

Next you tell that tendy's scores didnt' account for wins. I find it amusing that people who don't even qualify for their gulli cricket team are commenting on performance of Sachin.

It is absolutely non-sense to even try to make a stat of how many centuries accounted for win. Because century is a century. The player did his part, his team members were supposed to do their part.

Sachins century breakdown
Wins : 20
Draw : 19
Loss : 11

Do the math yourself.

Did it ever occur to you that indians are celebrating the only positive in an otherwise hopeless test match. The stupid bowlers should have been crucified, but instead people are crucifying the only player who did his part.

Friggin amazing. I always said, this pathetic country doesn't deserve someone like tendy. If tendy was white you fools would have worshipped him like Bradman, BECAUSE YOU SLAVES STILL CONSIDER " if its white, it is right"

To win a cricket match, you need contribution. Sachin has contributed to his team. Only few others did. When you speak about Adam Gilchrist or even Ponting, how many other players contributed in those particular match. Do you have any idea? Can you say that only because of his (Gilchrist) contribution, his team won and others didn't contribute much?

So, people just ignore personal contribution not realizing the true spirit of that person.
First you recognize him. Then you criticize.
If you do not do this, then you have to think what you did for your country before comparing others.

Well done Sachin!

Last 2 years, Australia thumped South Africa and England secured a draw.

We lost by an innings this year and yet the papers of full of Sachin rubbish. Wake up!! There is a small matter of world #1 ranking that we need to stand up to. Drop Sachin to avoid all this distraction. Sachin's 100s are only a burden and distraction to team India. He is bad luck for the nation.

That s simply ridiculus how sachin batted on monday morning... he should have atleast tried to cover the innings defeat. I respect sachin... and i was overwhelmed de way he played a day before. But on monday morning where we are jus 30 rund to overcome an innings defeat is much important than giving strike to tail enders on the first ball...

Muthalagu, now you know Sachin's real intentions. Join the gang. He was never a player for the country. Neither did he try to score fast or farm the strike as he was scared he will get out and his average in SouthAfrica may not cross 50. His main goal is to have over 50 average in all countries so we can call him greatest.

yes very good point jaya...wat sachin did that morning was ridiculous.cos if u look back at how kallis sheltered the south african tail enders by taking 80% of the strike,,,the manner in which sachin approached his game that morning showed him in poor light notwithstanding his many great achievements and commitment to the team...that one ridiculous morning will remain a blot forever on his south african tours atleast

GAVASKAR - AND TENDULKAR
by Krishna Govindan on Dec 21, 2010 11:46 AM  | Hide replies

It must have been about 10 years back that Sunil Gavaskar, when asked to comment about the batting of Tendulkar came out with this astonishing prophesy : He said that Sachin would score 50 Test centuries and that "HE was God's gift to Indian cricket." It was an astonishing thing to say then - and today I am reminded about this statement of Gavaskar. While saluting the Little Master let me through these columns also salute the original "Little Master Sunil Gavaskar who was wise enough to see the great abilities of Tendulkar. Hats off to both of you SIRS.
