For me its really terrible and horrible selection, because worldcup is a big stage, you need experience with youth, except Sachin & Sehwag, no one is capable enough to perform in crucial matches in world tournament, so dravid must be there because he can anchor the innings very well or may be laxman and it is really hard to understand, why Rohit sharma, pujara, saurav tiwari, y. pathan, M.vijay(Poor one day performer)doing in this squad and looks like india is more concentrating on their batting, i mean some will argue, then india have the strongest of batting lineup, but look what is happening in S.A with such a so called great batting lineup, even it is, still we don't have bowlers to defend all huge targets (acc. to past records) and our fielding is terrible, so i don't think has three most essential parts (Batting, bowling and fielding) to be the winner of this worldcup.
Does anyone miss Dravid in one day matches? This fellow will take 50 balls to score 10 runs. Remember Sunil Gavakar batted for entire 60 overs and scored 36 not out (1970's) because he was jealous of not having been made captain. But Dravid has his own silly reasons not to score runs quickly even though he has the capacity to do so. Dravid has already made up his mind to be extra careful before he bats.

you should think before you write this comment...He has scored 50 in 22 balls..that is second fastest 50 for in india in one day's...till kris will be there as chairperosn there will not be any chances for karnatka players in indian team...

Sachin is not playing one internationals from long time although he is great player but such a over-confident and egoist attitude can cost india in a big time, because if you great then you are great everywhere on Unsporty (Like in india) and unsporty (Like currently in SA)
Why Raina? Raina has been struggling recently for form. Expecting him to come back to form in WC is a big gamble and would cost India dearly. Let Parthiv alone make it as the reserve WK in the final 15 as he also serves as an opener adds much more utility when selected. Denying Ashwin his due chances just because Bhajji happens to be an off spinner is unfair as both are of different kind and the competition between them would only benefit the team. Ashwin is far better in terms of strike rate and bowling in power plays than Ohja or anyone else. Yuvi shouldn't be content with one or two sixers and a 30 or 40 runs. He needs to play a responsible and longer innings. Pace bowling department is just bare with the likes of Ishants, Sreesanths and Nehras never consistent. I do not understand, why Zaheer made itto SA? Selectors should never select a player who isn't 100% fit. It's not a honey moon or joy trip to relax and rest. Zak only has robbed Vinay or Mithun a place in the team. What the hell? Irfan??????????? Irfan has hardly played any cricket due to an injury and hasn't done anything spectacular in the recent past to deserve a place in the team. Place in the team is not won on the basis of past laurels and is earned on current performance alone. Save for the omission of Badri and the inclusion of Dinesh Karthik , Srikkanth has done a neat job. Why don't these people recall how the former selectors functioned? Only then, they'd realise how impartisan Krish Srikkanth is..
