With Lee,Johnson and Tait fit and in form, Australia will have the best bowling line upThey will have 3 to 4 bowlers who can consistently bowl at around 150 KPH..Only Ponting, Clarke, Hussey,Haddin and watson must be in greattouch.

Cricket World Cup....riculously long!!!
by Nitin Nambiar on Dec 17, 2010 12:42 PM  | Hide replies

12-16 teams play this circus of a tournament and it lasts for 42 whole days!!! Isn't it ridiculously long?

Compare it to FIFA World Cup...32 teams..64 matches and just lasts for 30 days!

To watch and understand cricket, you need skill, mind & temprament not like football a meaningless only physical labour game

Gupta ji,

Why are you bringing in your mind, skill and temperament into the argument?

I just wrote of how long the two tournaments are....is it a cricket vs football statement in any way???

I gree. I remember in 1983 ,they would have 4 matches in a day and it was so quick. I cannot understand why they do not do it now.

As Rajesh said it is correct, to understand cricket we need skill (match fixing), mind ( lazyness) & temparament ( take it easy). By watching Cricket we are wasting more than 6-7 hours a day. Even in 20/20 we are wasting atleast 4 hours. Whereas in Football, hockey, Volleyball, Basketball etc we are just spending a maximum of 2 hrs. Within 2 hours result is out. From the spectater point, tell me which is best sport to watch???

Like the Australia did, we should include Ajit Agarkar in our Team, so that we can use Agarkar to open the bowling and batting.
