Did you notice how BCCI forced our players to play on Diwali day?
Do you see SA scheduling a test match on Xmas day or even Xmas eve. Are Eng and Aus playing a test match on Xmas day or even Xmas eve? And those are secular countries too. In fact, this callous disregard for our players' families is deliberate, to show "who is boss".
This is going to be a good test series..Both the teams seems to be evenly matched..with good batsmen in both the teams..On the bowling side though - at least pace bowling - SA seems to have an edge with Steyn, Morkel, Kallis vs Zaheer, Sreesanth, Ishant

Defeating SA in SA and England on their soil is what is required for India to clear all doubts on their Numero Uno Status. All the Best to Team India.

In another perception, how about thinking Hurley being the tonic to Warne as after all it could be re-energizing him for the Ashes if he intends to play!!
I still remember that white lightning. I never ever feared any white bowler who can trouble India but Allan Donald was a class apart. He is a true Fast bowler and my favorite. I am not seeing any bowler right now who can match him in anger, true spirit, bowling prowess of a fast bowler. I still remember that tour and I was Smith age that time. I remember how Jawagal Srinath hit Pringle with a lethal bouncer in Johansberg fiery track (I have never seen any body get injured like that again- Thats the beauty of test cricket on a fiery track) and then I saw Manoj Prabhakar clapping for Srinath's "heroics". Next day Pringle's blood socked eye's photo was all over the newspapers. I never see Pringle play again after that. I also remember Daryll John Cullinan debut on that tour- The best batsman SA ever produced- and who can forget Allan Donald.

Daryll John Cullinan the best batsman S.A has ever produced? What a joke! Ever heard of the great Graeme Pollock? Go search his Cricinfo profile.

Right, Graeme Pollock is the greatest ever SA batsman...see his video in Cricinfo 'Legends of Cricket'.
He was a master bat of both pace and spin, on his day, could murder any bowling..look at his short test career average ..it is over 60

Then i can say Barry Richards would be a good choice too...but he played only few tests for SA but former players rate him very-very high coz of his batting prowess !! Don't go by average....if u go by average then Tendulkar, Lara or Viv Richards is nothing but a ordinary player before Don Bradman but if you go by Era they are as good or better then him. You read the stats of Gream Pollok and judge him "The Best" ever SA batsman. But if you go by the words of Hansie cronje, Shaun Pollok or any player who played with him will tell you the real story. If you want to judge a batsman judge him by his abilities to deliver in adverse circumstances, his batting prowess, his mental toughness and in the era he is playing. Don't ever fool by average !!

Get your facts right. First learn the cricket than comment on Sachin.
