If you observe a lot of people either write about Sacin or Dhoni in a negative manner.. is it a case of not wanting to accept that these gentlemen have acheived much more than they have...

Sehwag and Sachin are excellent player of pace and bounce
by M Alem on Dec 14, 2010 03:02 AM

Just bring it on SA and get crushed. No team in the world is a match for India now and for the foreseeable future. India will whitewash SA in tests and ODI

Sachin needs to be rested
by Jaya S on Dec 13, 2010 07:02 PM  | Hide replies

For the rest of his life.
Enough of him. If he plays, we are likely to convert victories into draws (Example Sydney 241) and draws into losses.

Dhoni, VVS, Dravid, Sehwag, Raina, Pujara and Gambhir will make the perfect batting line up against the Proteas.

Dhoni's real test starts now
by Cool Mahesh on Dec 13, 2010 05:56 PM

India is no. 1 in tests now. But the fact is that India has hardly toured outside the sub-continent in the last 2 -1/2 years when Dhoni took over as captain. Most of his wins have been in the sub-continental conditions, except one against weak NZ in NZ.
The real test starts now for Dhoni with SA tour. India next tours ENG and AUS in 2011. We will know how good our Dhoni is ????

Remember Perth test in 2008
by Narayanan Mahalingam on Dec 13, 2010 05:29 PM  | Hide replies

Mind goes back to the Perth test when the Aussies were saying that Tait would blow away the Indians on the fast WACA. India went on to win that game!!! Such mind games would not work with this battle hardened batting unit.

Pace and bounce. Our batsmen should be able to tackle. The team management would do well to play Pujara instead of Raina..

Only Dravid is going to play well in the SA series. All our other flat track bullies are going to fail miserably.

In indian team the only flat track bullies are Raina and Dhoni without adequate technique against Pace on seaming pitches rest of them can handle the conditions well.

hehe. I for one started taking Dhoni seriously after his first australia tour not the flat wicket bullying against pu kes. I was quite surprised to see that he survived that tour and got out only to wrong shots. That can be fixed but not pathetic technique.

First, as rightly pointed by Lalu (impersonator) we have never won in Africa before. Neither have we won in Australia. Dhoni should first practise the toss; he should atleast get that right if not score runs or hold catches. Secondly, do not get brain washed by PRs working for SRK, MSD, etc., who unnecessarily hype them and cricket because they have risked 100s of crores. Thirdly, don't behave like retards; cricket is just a sport. Get a life. It seems that even the stock market is run on cricket scores. Sickos! Sadists who do not have anything going good in their lives that they depend on SRK scoring a century to feel good. These people should instead see a doctor or do drgs.

I feel VVS Laxman will be the top scorer for India in this series. He is a great player but always unsung despite great performances.

Test
by don moras on Dec 13, 2010 05:08 PM

This is a real test for the Indian cricket team to prove to the world that they deserve to be ranked # 1. If they fail in SA, most of the cricket world will not respect them as much as they are respected at the moment.
We shall wait and watch..........
