Police has to be careful. Since Indian teamis involved there will be lot of curruption.Indians are known to fix matches so that Indian team wins as Money and cricket goes hand in hand in India. Just remember how during Hansie cronje tour of India, the matches were fixed so that India could win .It helps for money if India wins .Indian currupt have influenced every cricket team. Just as how terrorism is linked to Pakistani islamists in some way or other, cricket curruption is always linked with India. India one of the most currupt country.
De Villiers records in test cricket - has scored 4540 runs in 63 Tests at an average of over 47...his avg is much lesser then Sehwag, Dravid, Tendulkar , Laxman & Gambhir...
Last series against India he scored 53 & dint bat in the 1st test and 12,3 in the 2nd test...So his performace in the last test series was poor then his teammates Hasim Amla & Kallis.. If they ( Amla or Kallis ) make any statement then we can understand but De Villiers making statement like this ...
De Villers plaese concentrate your own batting and try to be in good form against India ..na ki comment against India a question mark about their No. 1 stag....
While I can understand the nationalism of many die hard fans, what I can not understand is have they lost their senses conpletely? You can wish and even hope for an Indian win. To be realistic, that may not happen. Look at our batting- flat track, below knee roll bullies. Indian fielding is a bigger joke. S Africa will just clean sweep this, weather is the odd man out here- not Saxhin, not Laxma, not even Sehwag!
Australia atleast dominated world cricket for more than a decade. Imagine what would happen to this Indian team if Sachin, Rahul and VVS were to retire. Can you name any single player out of the remaining who is of test quality... This Indian team sans the above 3 would be beaten by any side anywhere.

No body stamped "Test Quality" on the backs of Sachin, Dravid and Laxman before they played tests. They got their chances and utilized them.
None of the above mentioned players play in ODI now a days. But India is doing well without them. For tests we have talents like Raina, Pujara, Vijay, Rahane etc.

CC: I understand there r certain players who can play tests in the absence of these 3. But the team as such will look pedestrian and will undergo same treatment that Australia is currently undergoing. And as far as ODI's r concerned it remains to be seen how this team performs on green top bouncier wickets. For quite long India has been playing in subcontinents owing to which we have acquired No 1 status, but I am sure this ranking is not going to last for long.
I also doubt in the upcoming series if bookies or money power will play a big role to impact the final result. If matches are played on a neutral soil without any money/betting interference, then I feel SA will win hands down any day. ranking does not matter much.

Oh yeah, and who will take the money to lose? South africa? You are backing them as a better team, and then saying that they will take money to lose. If so, they anyway dont deserve to win, And india have not lost any series in past two years. The ranking is open for all, why dint someone else get it? The points system is open, south africa also plays at home, and if they are such a great team, why dint they beat india here? Any team can win at home.

Hi Mate, how long we are going after these 3 big names. No dispute that they are great, but we do have good players waiting for their chances such as Pujara, kohli and many more.

The team which won against Kiwis only because of Rain in the test matches.. if they win in S.Africa well.. u know whom to blame..
why these so called SA, Ausie and British criceter fail to deliver in subconinental piches? obiously they are just bouncy track bullies whose crickting skills should be questioned.
