macgill was an excellent bowler and it was his bad luck that he has to share his career with shane warne almost playing second fiddle to warne.. whenever warne was not playing, he was forced to fill warne's shoes rather than being a independent player..! now the fate is australia doesnt have quality spinner and they should encourage steven smith to perform well!!
although McGill remained under the shadows of Warne i agree but he himself was unqualified to be a test Bowler,so if he can play 44 Tests in a tent of 10 Years,then he shouldnt mind his countrymen Beer playing in the Ashes in his very first match
