india is a vast country and each one of us have to win the race , hence it is a piece of advice for the management team to look tothe rural india to make the shining india.

Silent wolves from India

Contrary to what many cynics and pessimists feel, these are the best group of Indian cricketers to beat SA in SA. We need to take a leaf out of the English team's efforts so far in Australia; sure they have had many warm up games however nothing can substitute for the actual contest. Given the sheer amount of cricket India plays one cannot blame anybody other than the BCCI for scheduling irrelevant series before a high profile overseas assignment.

The key to India's dominance lies in their simple approach to each game. I feel both teams have good bowling lineups however the series will be won by the batsmen. If the Indian batsmen can consistenly score over 400 runs, then I don't see SA beating India in any of the 3 tests. On the other hand, if India do score more than 400 on each occasion, they are the ONLY team who can win out of the two simply because of more experience in all facets of the game.

Unnecessary

It is very sad that media in India and South Africa are hell bent on demoralising Indian players by saying that he would be targeted in SA by pace bowlers by bowling short. India has shown good performance recently in Australia and England on similar pitches and India has solid batsmen who can negotiate short pitch bowling. On the other hand our pace bowlers will definitely trouble South Africans in the series and I am sure we would win the series only bacause of the great bowling show of our bowlers.

Good selection no doubt but India needs a leggie in the team. Ashwin and Bhajji both are off spinners. India should bring back Piyush Chawla in to the team in place of Ashwin to maintain balance.

Next world cup is in India I pressume. We may need 3 spinners and 5 five bowlers are too many for comfort

Sad that good spinner like Murli Karthik is being ignored. Our selectors had in the past dumped Sunil Joshi a good allrounder from Karnataka from the team ruining his career now it is Karthik

Kirsten is training us to fight his own country's cricket team.

This means that either he is wrong or blind patriotism is wrong.

Of course, this is sport, but we often forget.

Those who know that he is doing a paid job for BCCI will never think like you. It is similar to people working for US companies

Sir you must be naive to even contemplate such a thing. Kirsten is doing his job ! just like how you and I are doing our jobs. He's under contract with certain terms and the BCCI are making his wallet go berserk in the process too. His own country SA can't afford him. I am sure he will extend his contract beyond the world cup.

Dhoni needs time to sign some more endorsements.

More hair cut shows, parties, etc. he wants to be good inspiration for the rest of the team doing those things.

3,000 hits at the nets: Kirsten's mantra for success in SA
by Vasudevan MR on Dec 08, 2010 07:47 PM

I have been reading all the comments here, guys this is about the process, we may win or we may lose, but what Gary is talking about is the approach to the tour. The comments here are typical of our attitude. Guys, we drew in Australia, we won in Perth , if we can't play fast bowling we won't win series after series. If we comment that 'India is no good, No. 1 ranking is only because they played at home' ; isn't the same true of South Africa now ? They are playing at home, if they win they are not the best ??

The accompanying photo is quite suitable for this news . Looks like Dhoni is asking Kirsten if he can make up 3000 this way .
