CSk is best in retaining the Players
by R Roy on Dec 09, 2010 12:21 AM

They used the retaining options best compared to all other teams. They have almost filled thier batsman now. They need one Foreign batsman and a good Indina allrounder to look for the auction. For which, they don't need to put more money and can spend enough amount for bowling attack. Wise people from Chennai..

How much Str rate u think the player is gong to have who got a pathetic team, who used to lose 3 wickets on an average in the initial 5 over. Dada win more matches single handedly as compare to Gayle, who has not won a single match and has been retained.

Well said buddy....This is game played by Sharukh, Ganguly will be there in Kolkata team-not because Sharukh will not able to enter Kolkata if he drops Ganguly but Ganguly has really played well, he plays anchor role , and Kolkata love him(I know even entire Country love him-who will forget his opening partnership will one of the great(sachin),only few can compete with Sachin, who can forget Ganguly's towering Sixes).
Sharukh had played a game when IPL-2 was moved to South Africa, he instantly made Macullum the captain, and next IPL when it happened in India(Kolkata), he understood this cunningness will not work, again Ganguly was made captain.
Understand one thing Ganguly Plays the game with Heart-dil se khelta hai.

According to me, going by the rule that 2 international players and two local players could be retained, the following players should have been retained. Fell free to say what u feel..:)

MI : Sachin, Harbhajan, Pollard, Malinga

KKR : Ganguly, Gayle, Hodge, Murali Kartik
Punjab : Yuvraj, Lee, Jayawardene, Irfan Pathan
CSK : Dhoni, Raina, Hayden, Muralitharan
DD : Sehwag, Gambhir, De Villiers, Dilshan
RR : Warne, Yusuf Pathan, Watson, Tait
DC : Gilchrist, Symonds, RP Singh, Ojha

Gilchrist Symonds Hayden havent been playing cricket for a while and their form is suspect. No point in retaining them which would cost the franchise about 1.8 million dollars which they could spend on other current players.

The old guys should call it a day. Veterans like Kumble, Dravid, Ganguly, Hayden, Warne, Gilchrist, Symonds provided they have performed recently. Its a exciting game. Also a new generation game. These guys can coach the side better in my opinion.

It is very surprising that RCB has not retained an astute leader like Kumble.
