Chappel said pommes f'off with Beef, then Botham punched him on his thunder balls with military pace and the ABC news reads that Chappel needs surgery on his Groin area.

Chappell and Botham were both asking for alms (bheekh). As soon as I came out of stadium, both came to me with their bowls. When I took out a 10 dollar note, they started fighting.

I slapped both of them and told them to stop behaving like school kids. They both came to tears and then said sorry, touched my feet and asked for forgiveness.

I gave them both 5 dollars. They both were happy and said sir you Indians are really our paymaster now.

Then came Ponting and Clarke....they virtually begged me to get them inducted in IPL...

Ian, Greg, Trevor, Ponting, Clarke, Tait, all Australians were virtually begging.

I slapped all of them and told them to behave gracefully.

sledging is very bad and it is prohibited as ragging in colleges all over world? frustation leads to abusement & is one type of violence? Cricket is game of true gentlemen & British gentleman Ian Botham behaves in such a way is highly unethical! Remaining 3 test r WWF?

It was Ian Chappel who started on both occasions to provoke Ian Botham. Why should he keep quiet like coward hearing abuses from the Aussie?

Some body should have filmed it that can be shown during tea time or over the breaks.

Australians have proved to be provocative and are not fit to digest a loss. Most unsporting people as far as cricket and other games are concerned. Take clue from Commonwealth games

Yes,indeed he is elder brother of Greg Chappell(former indian cricket coach). He was captain of Aussie team in 1969 to India.Under his captaincy Aussies got thrashed 4-0 in South Africa after 1969 Indian tour. Its not the first time he is involved,as he is habitual of using indecent language in and out of field.Shameful on his part.

your knowledge of aus cricket is poor.Ian Chapell never lost a test series as captain of aus.he was not the captain on 1969 tour of india.
Bill Lawry was the captain then and Aus won 3-1

Nice to know that Ricky Ponting's team played really well in the spirit of the cricket...
But England - since they won - obviously was not playing in the spirit of the game.... eh? ;-)
