mediocre performance

Nothing great in defeating deflated side like newzeland and that too in home turf in flat pitch. The real test will be in south africa. Don't be get carried away with this performance, let world cup come, this same team will crumble like pack of cards. no good to play under pressure & good opponents .

that is how they save captaincy and place in the team, by playing with weak teams.

thanks, but nobody will hear you...balls below knee and we are great... we don't remember what happened in west indies just somedays back...thanks to the luck of MS, most pitches he finds are docile and friendly to his ability

CLINICAL PERFORMANCE BY GAMBHIR & CO.
by damodaran mohan on Dec 03, 2010 05:02 PM  | Hide replies

It was a clinical performance by g/gambhir &co.Easily it was the best innings gambhir has ever played.Except for onr or two streaky fours in the begining it was an innings of authority. The best part was the way he was seen to be in control and sending a clear message that he would play till end of the innings. And the way he used his bowling resources;a day when the spinners had only a modes success, he exploited the pacers to the hilt.It is really surprising and very refreshing captaincy although i was not very much impressed with his captaincy stint of DD in the IPL.Now coming to team india, the experimentation by the selectors is totally illogical. The best 15 or even the 11 for the WC is already there in front. Should they not start playing together already to the run up to the WC ?Virat/K is now a certainity in the first 11 virtually making Yuvi the no.7 notionally even if Yuvi plays up the order.Y/Pathan can be further back up.Then you are left with picking two spinners and four pacers who again pick themselves. With Bhajji as a certainity only one more specialist spinner can come in.Where is the place for any one else ? Possibly the selectors are helping some players improve their bargain price for IPL by thrusting them into the India side.

I don’t agree with your statement that the experimentation by the selectors is totally illogical, because before the experimentation the probable batting line mostly may be the likes of shewag, tendulkar, gambhir, yuvraj, raina, dhoni etc. if suppose the selectors not given chance to kohli & others to prove themselves before the WC, how can you come to know that kohli is suitable for no.3 ?????.
