Indians are a much better side than 1996 touring that suffered huge loss at Durban. Moreover the SA don't have the likes of Donald and DeVilliars anymore...

But they still have Smith, Amla, Kallis, Steyn and AB Devilliers... who played in 2006/7 win against us...
I think SA need to keep their focus and play consistently to keep the Indian batsmen scoring too many. I personally feel this SA attack is the best after Donald and Pollock. India will be tested. AB and Morne will be key players for SA. Sehwag and Zaheer for India.
India are not perturbed by bounce in test matches. We have the players who have the patience and skill to play bounce in tests. We suck at it in T20's and ODI's (to an extent) because you have to force the pace in the shorter formats and so chances of getting out are higher in these formats. In tests, we have all the time to play bounce. We are vulnerable to the moving deliveries but I dont think SA will prepare green tracks and have movement (because if they do, Zaheer, Sreesanth and Ishant will eat them up on such wickets). So it will be good sporting wickets with bounce and pace, which India will easily encounter. We need some time to get adjusted to the conditions. If SA have to win the series, they need to win the first test. If they let India off to a draw in the first test, SA will be under serious trouble because India are always very slow starters and once they are settled, they are very very dangerous. Looking forward to a very exciting series.
What was the scoreline when toured SA last time? Did SA not have fast men in their line-up? India will come up trumps against SA in the Test series.SA bowlers will gte a hiding of their lives. Sehwag will take them to cleaners
1) Even the current pitches produced a result (in india's favor). So they were not flat decks. 2) The greener pitches were made not because NZ had great batsman in those non playable pitches but the insipid Indian bowling made life easier for New Zealand batsman. If India had in form strike bowlers like Pakistan then NZ batsman would have struggled as well. In fact, they would not have made such pitches in the first place. 3) Making so much seaming pitches or say Indian dust bowls for home advantage is highly unsportive.

Yes i am also saying BCCI had negotiated with New Zealand Board but not the wicked kind of negotiations. It could be called sportive negotiations as the 3rd point suggests.
Let me tell you if we make perfect dust bowls there is no country in the world who can beat our 'A' team at home. See for example Sri Lanka.
