Absolutely true that it is not Dhoni but Srikant who is making Team India weak and weaker. All these becuase there in fact only 1% Indian who are patriot and 99% are definitely not. How many persons can put his personal interest apart for his country and sacrifice? Only 1% my dear and this is the most bitter truth what I am telling you all. Srikant and the selecting committe are among 99% percent otherwise Tiwari, Ashwin and Irfan Pathan would have been in Team India and the tri-series title would be ours. Players like Yuvraj, Rohit Sharma and Dinesh Kartick should be punished and should not be given chance to play until and unless they play first for India and later on they think about themselves.

Unfortunately in ever department of India only those who get favour to pleases one on an personal level. Our Selection committe are today responsible for our failure. Our country has given enough good player to beat any team in the world provided we responsible people have to become Indian first keeping aside of any personal willingness and unwillingness.

Still I know there will not be any improvement and things will be same because we general public are nothing but coward otherwise our country would be on the top in every field.

Time for us to corect all the departments of India and stopping all corruptions be general & simple Indian public.

We are missing a larger picture, Wake up!
by VISHWAJEET PATKI on Aug 29, 2010 12:25 PM  | Hide replies

The incidence of ball to ball match fixing of Pakistani team has come to limelight just when yesterday's final took place.
Our cricketing systems are identical. Controvercial Board officials with political background, mysterious selection process of the players and more mysterious match results.
Some questions come in my mind. Do all my friends on Rediff agree?
1)Why Virender Sehwag got run out on the same ball when the appeal for leg before was turned down? Had any 'fair and responsibility minded' player attempted a run? Was this the ball 'destined' to take his wicket any way? Did Sehwag make any serious effort to regain his crease?
2)Why only a few youngsters are rotated like Rohit,Kartik,Virat and are there no more youngsters in India to replace them? Are they a part of a 'larger cartel'and therefore secured?
3)How can it happen that all the bowlers do well on one fine day and they all are off colour on another day? Why all of them bowl against the field placings? How does the team gets out like a pack of cards as if the target is not to get the opponent's run target but get out within a specific total?
4)Just seeing Yuvraj exiting Chennai airport with a Victory sign. Always see Dhoni looking 'calm and composed' always as if a devine indication of the result has always prevailed over him.
Perhaps, perhaps it takes us, the stupid fans to wait for the entire day to find the result when the likes of .... know and decide before the first ball is bowled.

sehwag is allways "suspect" when there is a bit of grass, movement pace and bounce on the pitch.....
their recent comments abt the young players dissmal performances also "highlight" their "fevouritism" for these kind of players rather than experienced players like dravid...
dhoni and sehwag like to play along with their "friends" rather than "team india" players.....this is quite evident by the way they show fevouritism for nonperforming and "phalthu" 20-20 format players rather than great player like dravid.....
it's very ordinary behaviour by sehwag to run a single and getting himself runout.....that shows his lack of committment to team in an all important final game....
selectors are the "biggest culprits" in this BCCI thamasha show...
half of the players in this team are clearly not a caliber to play international match.....none of these players have the ability, experience, mental toughness and descipline of "rahul dravid" to play at middle order and hold the inningse while chasing big scores....
hmmmmm.....everything is suspect...

Hats off to u sir u have raised very very valid points that would have been raised in any genuine Cricket Lover's heart.I would be very happy if somebody comes out with Match-Fixing proof against this team as i am sure there is definitely something wrong happening with the team especially yesterday's Run-Out issue was really unbelievable.

Dhoni has firmly entrenched himself in the establishment of BCCI and follows the route of pleasing the powers that be. He does not go by cricketing acumen any more. He should have dropped Karthik, opened with Kohli and taken Saurav Tiwari, in team's interest. But he is also a part of CSK and how could he have displeased Srinivasan, the CSK Boss?

So true Mr. Dhoni.. but you seized the opportunity to score the "captain's" inning of some odd 60 of 100 balls.. which is very useful for you to show-off that you didnt flop as well in the tri-series..

bring laxman in
by Jagan on Aug 29, 2010 12:19 PM

that brings into contention players like Laxman , Dravid who could offer stability in the middle order of a 50ovr match. How can one play a 50over match like a 20-20, moreover technical competency in the present (younger) lot is lacking. Transition from the old breed to the new has to happen in phases, cannot follow horses for courses method.

Dear M.S. Dhoni, it was your poor selection of team failed. I cant understand why you are giving chance upon chance to Out of form Players Like Rohit sharma, Dinesh Kartik.

It's a ploy to keep out Ashwin. What if he performs well? I will be difficult to bring back Bhajji?
