ipl controversy
by Guest on Aug 27, 2010 11:06 AM

Why all this fuss about flintoff's bid.. he was not such a great player and was a flop in the ipl. Also now he is injured and wont play in the next ipl. When he was bid and won in the auction there cant be any question of unfair bidding.

Poor Politics in Cricket

Kapil Dev Should be the main Selector of Players and his assistant should be Srikant.
Gavaskar, Vengsarkar and Sharad Pawar should be thrown out.
Ganguly- East Zone Selector
Kumble- South Zone Selector
Ravi Shastri- West Zone Selector
Kapil Itself- North Zone Selector
If this happens, there will not be any politics and good players like Pujara, etc and some raw 16 to 18 year old talent will be inducted in the Indian team.
Throw Rohit, Virat Kohli, D.Karthik, R.Jadeja, Yuvi out of the team. Go and play Ranji Matches and prove with consistency and fitness.
Give chance to Saurab Tiwari, Pujara, A.Rahane, Manish pandey. These four Players has to be given chances atleast for 10 to 20 matches to prove their worth. Sure good Players.
We need to develop Fast bowlers. After Zaheer retires in Tests, no body to spearhead the attack. Ishant lacks fitness, Nehra only for ODI, Munaf unfit for tests and Praveen Kumar not good enough for tests. Sreesanth is waste.
So if India does not bring in new fast bowlers, then in another two years there will be nobody to lead the bowling
For that make indian pitches little bit bouncy and stop preparing spinner friendly tracks.

Cyclists get a raw deal
OUR SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT
New Delhi: The Indian cycling probables, currently training in Patiala for the Commonwealth Games, are still waiting for their new cycles to arrive.

With only 37 days left for the Games, their preparations have been badly hampered as they were supposed to train with the new cycles, which will be used in the competition.

“All 27 probables at the national camp are using their own cycles as neither the Sports Authority of India (SAI) nor the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) have cared to look into their needs,” one of the coaches informed.

“Things are extremely bad here,” lamented the coach.

“We use imported cycles for competitions. For the past one year, we have been pleading for cycles without any result. Now we have been told the cycles will arrive only in mid-September. How can our cyclists prepare in such a short time?” he fumed.

Lot of IPL matches are fixed
by sreenivasulu reddy on Aug 26, 2010 08:05 PM

See the points list. You will see all the teams having almost the same points. Final four will not be decided almost till the last minute. I believe it is better to ban the IPL as so many controversies are coming up day by day. Other option is to ignore these controveries and go on as if feeling that match fixing is part of life.

IPL should be abolished. It is corrupting players. Good players are spoiling their game.

New BCCI Team- Led by Kapil Dev
by AC DC on Aug 26, 2010 06:38 PM  | Hide replies

Kapil Dev, Ganguly, Kumble, Srikkanth, Sachin(once he retires), Centraly(??? someone not corrupt and passionate from this zone).

Kapil should play a major role in BCCI. He is the most passionate Indian cricketer and will put winning before politics.
