Manchested United & Yankees
by NYY on Aug 23, 2010 10:26 PM

Indian cricket team is in the same boat as Man United and New York Yankees. Other people just love to hate them. They are the richest organizations, they are bullies, they always get undue advantage becos of their influenze, show their muscle everwhere..and they cry foul when they lose (and often the world believes then). I have many friends of other nationalities who hated the Aussies cricket team for long. But now they just hate India. Everyone loves to hate the Indian team now. (may a bit of jealously also). India team and fans will never accept that they lost to a better team. Everytime something is against them... either the pitch or the umpiring or schedule.. The fact is that they are just a mediocre team.

Indians are biggest cry babies and match fixers
by Clyde on Aug 23, 2010 10:07 PM  | Hide replies

The BCCI XI is full of match fixers and has a history of previous ones like Jadeja,Azhar etc who were all bookies essentially..Still indians will continue to be cry babies when they lose..come on guys sometimes the match does not get fixed the way you want...indian cricketers/bcci admis sometimes bet on the opposing team too

that's right..
sharjah is the place where all the matches are fixed. i heard the lankans kidnapped indian players' families and then asked them to get out so soon.
and that is because lanka had the backing of the D company from UAE.
now i know why lanka wanted to travel sharjah every now and then..

Won with umpires help

Don't read too much into this win. You didn't win because of your talent. But because of Kumar Dharmasena (4 decisions went against India). THe win in Sharjah was acheived by the great chucker/Javelin thrower. So you always win by cheating not because of your talents

I think media has overreacted and tried its best to cover up this shameful defeat.

No tears for Raina. He was unfortable right from the first ball he played and survived a caught behind, Of course he was OUT. But later was given out when he was NOT OUT. So, no tears for him.

If Hawk eye is to believed then Sehwag was OUT. It does not matter if the ball was going to hit the outer or inner of his leg stump.

Sorry for Kartik and Yuvraj. Both were bad decisions. So, there were 2 wrong decisions against BCCI XI.

What about the poor performance from Dhoni, Rohit Sharma, and Jadeja? Were they also victims of wrong decisions.

In the last test series in England, Dhoni appealed for a catch that did not carry and Umpire Taufel gave Peterson OUT. The slip fielders Tendulkar and Sehwag, apart from Dhoni knew it well and kept mum.

In the third test match against Srilanka recently, Tendulkar was clear LBW of Randiv at 10 in the second innings. But Taufel saved him. And India won that match as Tendulkar went on to score 56.

In 2007 series against England, Steve Bucknor prevented England from winning the first test against India. He did not give No. 11 Indian batsman Shreesanth out when he was plumb LBW.

So, Team India has benefitted a lot from bad umpiring decisions, and suffered too. But when it benefits you, you keep mum.

giving tailenders a benefit by giving not out n giving frontline batsman like sachin out even if he isnt? is a double standard.
so can one say ind benefited coz of sreesanth' non-dismissal then sachin-dismissal?

Cricket just a game of 6-7 teams
by biswal on Aug 23, 2010 07:06 PM  | Hide replies

it is nowhere in the world stage. Only few baggars play and that too they play each other too often. India play Sri Lanka, God knows how many times in a year in meaningless series...Still they suffer so heavy defeats..Do cricketers deserve that much of money ? Sachin, Laxman, Dravid and Ganguly in combination could not win a single world cup (of 10-12 nations that too) and still we indians go on watching this game...just think
