An analysis of the history of cricket shows that only two countries out of the 10-12 countries win consistently.Countries like India,Srilanka,Pakistan are inconsistent. They win one, loose the next. Under the leadership of Dhoni, initially there was hope of coming out of this morass. But later it became clear that it is not so.Dhoni alone cannot do much with many non-performers in the team. Hence the hierarchy in cricket is as below an will remain the same in future too.
First rate cricket playing countries:1.Australia 2.South Africa. Second rate cricket playing countries:1.India 2.England 3.Srilanka 4.Pakistan .5.New Zealand .6.West indies. Third rate cricket playing countries:Bangladesh ,Zimbabwe, etc.
Hence there is not much competition in cricket making it dull. The aussies reign kings for all time.

Dont agree with you. most of the cricket nation had a time when there supremacy is unquestionable. in 1970 - 80 west indians are best before that australia, England. Look at australia they look undefeated in earlier time of this decade. but they are inconsistent now adays. But you never put your money on India or pakistan
See how they sent IPL packing with possible help from a twisted-mouthed cancerous politician from NCP party. No other country has right to lead Cricket except old Blighty mate. Its our game. And no poor Indian will lead it.

too early to tell that, England are mainly consistent at home, their record overseas is still not so good. We may have a situation where in no one nation will dominate the game for next 2-3 years at least.

the same applies to us also. even the no.1 team is getting bowled out for 100 runs twice within a week.
England will dominate nothing, let alone cricket. This coach is trying to make sure that he stays on to max out on his money. 3 to 4 years is a long time in a sport and certainly a long time for a coach to deliver. Btw, he is not exactly building a team from scratch. So, even as he attempts to secure his job it should come as no surprise if he is replaced well before that. In any case we wish him well in his coaching work.

Watching cricket matches is a great past time after retirement. So, you wait till you retire. SriLanka has a very good team. It will dominate world cricket soon (I am not SriLankan. I am from TamilNadu, India)

May be you are hoping that in future Tamils will take over Sri Lanka therefore you say that Lanka will dominate!!
Till now (until you joined them as Consultant), they were a good team. Now that you have come, their ICC ranking will surely go down. Just how you have made KKR so successful, you will make England team unbeatable with your absurd ideas and recommendations. God save the Queen and the English Team!
Australian team was successful last decade or so because of the great cricketers it had in the team ... This Buddha is still in the illusion that he made some difference .. :)
